Chapter 36 To See Cindy
Chapter 36 To See Cindy
On the way back, Luna did not talk to Brodie. To be exact, she was a little nervous. She was nervous
when she boarded. She was also nervous when the plane took off and was stiff all over during the flight
as if she was being tortured.
It was indeed a long flight.
The plane shuddered when it encountered the air current halfway.
Luna let out a low scream.
Brodie stretched out his hand and held Luna's. Luna blushed, wanting to pull her hand back. But the
man was so strong that she could not get rid of him.
Brodie whispered softly and gently, "Don't be afraid. It will be over soon."
Luna turned around and looked at Brodie carefully. She was in a trance. Brodie seemed to be too
attentive.
Brodie asked, "Are you cold?"
Luna shook her head.
Brodie tested the temperature of Luna's palm and called the flight attendant, "Please fetch us a
blanket."
The flight attendant took the blanket and handed it to Brodie. Brodie slowly tucked Luna in with one
hand and still held her hand firmly with the other.
Luna slept for about eight hours of the 14-hour flight and was groggy for the rest. Brodie held her hand
the whole way through until the plane landed.
"Go straight home? It's Sunday. Cindy is home." Brodie looked at Luna and asked gently.
Still a bit slow, Luna nodded yes.

On the way home from the airport, Luna became restless, as if she finally realized that she was about
to see her daughter. She asked nervously, "She must have grown into a big girl now."
Brodie still held her hand and felt the slight sweat on her palm. He said gently, "She is fine. She is 1. 56
meters tall. She is the tallest girl in her class. She likes playing the piano, dancing ballet, reading books
and writing poems. I have recorded her life story via video. You can watch them then."
Luna sighed emotionally, "Then you have taught her very well." Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
At this moment, Luna listened with a serene smile. Brodie loved how nice everything was now, as if he
had traveled back to when they dated. "She misses you, too. She knew that you were sick and were
receiving treatment abroad. She had been waiting for your return."
"She ... she is always a good girl. When she was sick and I went to work, she would cry when she was
alone in bed. She would feel sorry for me. She even left me a note saying that she hoped that I
wouldn't be so tired. She also told me that even if she could not live longer, she would be very happy to
have a mother like me..."
Luna recalled the past and couldn't help but cry.
-
About forty minutes later, they arrived at Brodie's villa.
Before they got off, Brodie suggested, "Have you ever thought about how to make a living from now
on?"
Luna thought for a moment, "No. Let's take one step at a time."
Brodie added, "Then do you want to help me take care of Cindy? In this case, you can have a job and
live with Cindy. Unless you agree, I won't cross the line."
Luna knew that Brodie must have planned all the things and had told Jason. Otherwise, Jason would
not have allowed her to come back.
Luna looked out of the window.
The shadows of trees outside flashed past her, casting grotesque shadows on her face. She closed her
eyes and said, "Thank you, Mr. Melton. If you insist."
She had her own plan.
She thought that she would find a job after she became better.
