Vengeful Hearts Return Novel by Susan Clyde

Chapter 149

Dylan felt like he was almost going insane, especially when he thought about the scene he had just witnessed.

When he received Shawn’s message, he had just changed his dressing. Upon recognizing the background in the photo as Natural Heaven, he came over immediately without hesitation.

He didn’t expect that the first thing he would see upon arriving was the terrifying scene from earlier.

Thinking of this, a trace of bloodthirsty menace flashed across Dylan’s cold eyes.

His deep and cold eyes swept across the car that had tipped over on its side not far away. Sarah was slowly climbing out from there.

“Mr. Clifford!”

Richard got out of the car and walked over, waiting for Dylan’s instructions.

“Cripple her legs and hands,” Dylan said, his deep and cold eyes filled with hostility. “Send her back to where she came from!”

‘Letting Sarah die immediately would be too easy on her, he thought.

“Got it” Richard replied respectfully. He then walked toward Sarah. Not giving her a chance to speak, he took her away.

“Audrey, you killed my mom, Sarah said. “Compensate for my mom’s death. Audrey, I want you to pay with your life for my mom’s death. Why aren’t you dead yet? I curse you to die a horrible death…

In the distance, Sarah’s fierce and frantic cursing could be heard

“Be good. Don’t listen.”

Suddenly, a deep and magnetic voice came through. Then, a pair of warm hands covered Audrey’s ears, blocking out all sounds.

In actual fact, Audrey did not care at all how Sarah cursed her.

She was more concerned about the mastermind behind Sarah who was secretly manipulating everything.

It was not until she could no longer hear Sarah’s curses that Dylan let go of covering her ears and picked her up in his arms.

A sharp pain came from his back, but he did not mind at all. He just hugged Audrey tightly.

“Put me down?”

Audrey frowned slightly, not liking being carried in a princess hold.

“Don’t move,” Dylan reprimanded softly in a deep voice. “Tll hold you!” It was gentle, hoarse, and commanding He tightened his grip on Audrey slightly, showing no intention of letting go until they reached Levi’s side.

Levi had already been helped up and was a bit shocked to see his boss being carried in a princess hold by a man.

He couldn’t help but glance at Dylan. Dylan’s deep black eyes swept across Levi, his lips slightly pressed together and his gaze filled with dark coldness.

“Are you alright?” Audrey said. “I’ll get someone to send you to the hospital.”

The moment the two men looked at each other, Audrey had already spoken.

I’m fine. What about you? Are you hurt?” Levi shifted his gaze from Dylan to Audrey, who was being held in Dylan’s arms.Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

“I’m okay, Audrey replied.

“My people will send him to the hospital for a checkup,” Dylan said, glancing at Levi indifferently. “Don’t worry. After saying that in a low voice, he left with Audrey immediately.

Audrey frowned. Once Dylan carried her into the car, she said coldly, “Put me down!”

“Baby, don’t move. My back hurts.” When there was no one around, Dylan’s expression softened. Even his voice sounded a little aggrieved.

Audrey glanced at Dylan and noticed that his face was pale with beads of sweat covering his forehead.

Eventually, she no longer moved.

Out of Audrey’s view, Dylan slightly curled his lips. Even his usually cold and deep black eyes were now filled with warmth and tenderness.

He did not send Audrey to the hospital for a checkup, nor did he return to the Holland residence. Instead, he took to Clifford Mansion.

Looking at the familiar place from her memory, Audrey frowned.

“Send me back!” Audrey said, her voice icy,

“Can I send you back later?” Dylan said softly and gently, seeming to seek Audrey’s approval. The wound on my back needs to be tended.”

“You can let the family doctor deal with it. I’ll go back myself.” As Audrey spoke, she started to get out of the car.

Dylan pressed her back into his arms.

Being held in Dylan’s arms all the way, Audrey felt a little uncomfortable, but she could not resist his domineering and forceful actions.

Even though he was seriously injured, he remained so domineering that no one could resist him.

Dylan said with a sense of grievance, “Don’t go. Stay with me, okay? I haven’t seen you in a long time.”

“We met yesterday morning” Audrey said, pursing her lips.

“As the saying goes, one day apart feels like ages. We haven’t seen each other for more than a day and night, so I miss you a lot.” Dylan buried his face in Audrey’s neck and spoke gently.

“Just for a while, okay?” he added. “I’ll send you back later. Just consider it as taking pity on me, okay?”

Dylan’s warm and moist breath brushed against Audrey’s neck, making her stiffen.

In the end, with Audrey’s tacit consent, Dylan carried her into Clifford Mansion in a good mood.

Audrey had been to Clifford Mansion many times before. It had been seven years since they last met, and everything inside was exactly the same as before.

Even the roses that she had casually scattered in the courtyard in the past were preserved in perfect condition, blooming brightly and exuberantly.

Dylan did not like having many people around. He had always been alone in Clifford Mansion. The cleaning and cooking lady would come at a fixed time every day and leave after cleaning up.

Almost every decoration inside was the same as what Audrey remembered, as if the missing seven years had never happened. She lowered her gaze slightly and restrained the complicated expression in her eyes.

After placing Audrey on the sofa in the living room, Dylan finally let go.

Upon sitting, Audrey looked at Dylan and said indifferently, “Where’s the first aid kit? I’ll take care of your wound.

“Let’s deal with it later. Baby. I miss you!”

He looked at Audrey tenderly. His deep eyes were filled with an intense and unshakable sense of affection. In the next moment, he bent down and kissed her.

In fact, he had wanted to do this ever since he saw the photo sent by Shawn. He couldn’t control himself.

He could not stand seeing Audrey being so intimate with another man and smiling so happily. It frightened him as if ada would leave him at any moment.

Amidst the sour jealousy, Dylan kissed her more and more fiercely, wishing he could swallow her whole.

Audrey struggled at first, but Dylan’s inherent forcefulness and dominance left her no room to resist.

In the end. Dylan bit the corner of her lips hard.

“Hiss Audrey gasped, looking grim

“Dylan, are you an idiot?”

Dylan chuckled twice. It was only then that he satisfactorily stopped kissing her. He then held her tightly in his arms, his dark eyes burning with passion.

“You can see me as whatever you like!” His low and hoarse voice was filled with joy.

Meanwhile, thousands of miles away, a woman’s sharp and angry roar could suddenly be heard in a lavish and opulent castle. Trash, you can’t even do a small task well. Useless thing!”

Upon learning that the plan had failed again, the woman’s expression was vicious and ferocious. Then, she said coldly, “Are you sure Wayne Majest really sent Hansel Majest to Chritonia?”
