Wife by Day, Boss by Night

Chapter 127

Chapter 127

“Can you even afford it?” Natalie chuckled, dripping her voice with mock concern. “I’ve heard times are

tough over at the Wright family.”

“You…” Gracia had flushed a deep shade of crimson, her embarrassment palpable,

Amidst the tense exchange, Natalie casually produced a platinum card from her purse and placed it on

the counter with a soft clink. She turned to the sales associate with a polite smite, “Would you mind

wrapping this up for me?”

Upon seeing the platinum card, the sales associate shifted her demeanor instantly.

That card was the golden ticket in Global Mall, reserved for the upper echelons of the elite, a rarity that

even staff members seldom glimpsed. And here was this young woman, a student no less, wielding it

with ease.

Looks sure could be deceiving.

“I want this piece! Wrap it up for me!” Gracla blurted out, desperate to save face in front of the

onlookers.

“Um… it’s a one–of–a–kind item,” the sales associate murmured, clearly torn. She couldn’t afford to

offend a VIP cardholder or their family!

“I don’t care! I saw it first!” Gracia snapped, knitting her brows together in frustration.

“Yeah, first come, first served.” Lydia chimed in with a frosty edge to her voice. “Besides, are you sure

she can afford all these clothes? And even if she does, who knows where that dirty money’s coming

from, probably some sleazy sugar daddy!”

Natalie couldn’t help but let out a laugh, though her cheeks burned with anger.

“Excuse me, ladies, are you a bit off your rockers?” Rosie finally interjected, unable to contain herself.

“Who walked in first? If you’re looking for crazy, make a right turn and head down about ten miles to the

Mental Health Clinic of Streamville. The sooner you get checked, the better!”

Lydia was twisted with rage. “Are you calling me a psycho?”

“Sorry about that,” Rosie replied with a shrug.

The sales associate, sensing the brewing storm, interjected with a peacekeeping offer to Gracia, “I’m

terribly sorry, why don’t you come back tomorrow? I can arrange to have it brought in from another

store.”

But Gracia was icy. “I want this one, and that’s final!”

“You can have it if you want it,” Natalie said with a sly smile, her eyes fixed on Gracia. “Just ask, and I’ll

buy it for you as a gift.”

Could Natalie really be that generous?

Gracia looked at her with disbelief, blocking their gazes.

Natalie paused before continuing in a softer tone. “Unless you’d rather crawl out like a dog than kneel

that’s an option too. Just crawl from my feet to the door, and that’ll be enough.”

Since Gracia disgraced her, Natalie would show her what was the consequences.

“How dare you!” Gracia was bulged with shock. Before she could react, Natalie snatched the jewelry

box from her grasp and held it aloft. With an unblinking stare, she smashed it to the ground.

“Natalie, have you lost your mind?!” Lydia screamed.

Rosie, witnessing the scattered brooches and Jewels, was stunned into silence.

Natalie was even more ruthless than a werewolf.

In fact. Natalie had seen Gracia flaunting the jewelry set on social media. Now, wrapped up tightly with

sunglasses, Gracia had come to Global Mall in full disguise, clearly intending to return the jewelry

without being recognized in her state of disarray.

The Wright family was strapped for cash. It didn’t take a genius to figure it out.

“Crawl to the door and beg me, and I might just let you off the hook. I’ll even throw in a piece of

clothing,” Natalie repeated, the corners of her mouth still curled into a faint smile.

She had given them plenty of chances, but they hadn’t appreciated her patience, foolishly provoking

her wrath instead.

Rosie had tried to warn them kindly.
