Wolf-less Omega Luna

CHAPTER 3

CHAPTER 3

Axel's POV “Alistair and his damn Marauders. I’ll fu**ing kill them.” I yelled furiously and kicked the staff from Tyler’s hand. “They brought down the east wing barrier. The warriors are rounding them up but they’re causing damage.” Tyler said, picking up his staff and rushing out of my office. “How many of them are there?” “Many,” he responded. We rushed down to the border and assisted the pack warriors in stopping the rest of the Marauders. As Alistair and two others were retreating, I rushed at him, shifting into Four, and my bared claws slashed through his hide with speed, tearing a handful of flesh. He managed to cut through my forehead. He let out a pissed growl. I followed with a roar. I flung him against an obeche tree and he got back up in his defensive position. Four was ready to rip him in half when he turned around and bolted for the border, exiting the same way they had entered. He shifted, stood naked facing us, revealing his scared face and bloodied teeth, then turned to leave. I headed back with Tyler Grey, my second in command, Coral Grey, a high-ranked warrior who happens to be Tyler’s sister, and Britney Chase, while the other warriors repaired the damaged barrier. “They won’t be returning anytime soon,” Coral said, tying a cloth over her injured arm. “Let’s hope so,” Tyler responded. Alistair was a pain in my butt. He was the leader of a group of cursed rogues who called themselves the Marauders. My pack was the most feared in the continent, but for some reason, they had been attacking us recently. This was their second attack in a week. “You were cool tearing him up like that Alpha,” Britney gabbled, jerking me from my thoughts. I let

out a frustrated grunt to let her know I wasn’t in the mood for her facade. Britney Chase was the delta of Crescent Moon pack, meaning that if the moon goddess didn’t help me locate my mate soon, I would have to take her as my Luna. She was a decent warrior, but I never saw her fit to be my dam. After Britney and Coral dispersed, I headed toward my office with my beta, Tyler. “She really wants to be your Luna,” Tyler said with a chuckle, running a hand through his brown hair. “Britney,” he added. “I would rather denounce my alpha position,” I replied with a grunt to Tyler who released another chuckle. I had waited for my mate since I came of age. It's been over a decade and I already lost hope of finding her. “But for real, what would you do if you don't find your mate soon?” “I guess the delta will have to do, just because the alpha like cannot end with me.” I said goodnight to Tyler and headed for my room, not bothering to stop by the office to finish up. I was too infuriated at the day's event but as I got closer to my room, something intoxicating pulled me and soothed my nerves. It was a female’s scent, a scent I had never smelt before which was near impossible. This was my pack. I knew there was someone in my room, but who was it? Four kept pacing and wagging at the back of my mind and I knew something major was about to happen. With no idea what it was, I stepped into my room, ready to pounce on whoever was trespassing, only to find her on my bed. My mate. She broke down every barrier I put up around myself within minutes of being by her side. With her consent, I took her to my bed, only for her to try to run away this morning. All through the night, I stayed awake, watching over her small frame. She was beyond beautiful and I silently muttered occasional thanks to the moon goddess for finally bringing her to me. I can’t feel her wolf. Four said to me We can work on that, I responded. She probably went through something traumatic, I added, feelingBelonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

a pang of sadness and guilt for not being there to protect her from whatever it was. I had to fix it all, so I asked her. “Alana, will you please be my Luna and the dam of my pack?” She seemed shocked at first. “Why?” She asked, almost screaming. “Because you’re my mate, princess.” “But I don’t feel the mate pull. I’m not even attracted to you,” she lied. “Do you truly believe that?” I asked, grinning, and she hesitated. “Be my Luna, Alana. I will protect you with my blood, and no harm will come to you.” I confessed genuinely. “NO!” She blurted out, throwing her small, soft hands over her mouth. I was a bit taken aback but I smiled, admiring her courage. “Why?” I asked her, taking her small hands in mine only to feel the tingling sensation I felt throughout the night from her being near me. “I’m an omega.” There was a sad look in her eyes and I instantly became sad. I feel everything she feels. When she laughed, I, the alpha, felt butterflies for the first time in forever. “I have no wolf, no power, no family,” she added. “If I truly am your mate, you should reject me and find a stronger dam for yourself and the pack.” Trying to comfort her, I said to her, “The moon goddess created you specially for me. You, Alana, are the strongest Luna for me.” I saw a small smile appear on her lips as she reached for her clothes and quickly threw them on. Four went wild in my head. “I’m sorry,” she said, all but sprinting away. Going after her wouldn’t be a problem seeing how slow her fragile legs ran but I opted against it knowing how overwhelmed she was. She needed time and space to process things and I wanted to give her that. I closed my eyes and replayed her round face and perfect features in my head. “Axel. Axel! Open up dickface!!” Emily yelled, pounding on my door and the hinges almost coming out of place.

I wrapped a towel around my waist and let her in. “Eww Axel. What did you do here? It smells awful, you dirty pig,” she said, clearly picking up the scent of raw sex from last night. “I found my mate, baby sis.” I chuckled at my words. “Okayy, who is she and what has she done to my brother?” She shrieked, giving me a big hug. “ I’m happy for you.” There was excitement in her voice. “Thanks, Emily. Now, why are you here? It's still so early.” Her face turned pale, and her eyes went dark. “What's it, Emily? What happened?” “I still didn’t get my wolf yesterday,” she said, her voice breaking and a tear forming in the corner of her eyes. Emily had just turned 16, which was three years away from when most werewolves got their second form. It was normal for some people to transform a little later than that, but as a wolf with alpha blood, everyone expected us to turn even earlier. “Emily,” I said, twirling a stray kink from her jet-black hair. “Do you know when Dad got his wolf?” “No.” She sniffled. “Dad got his wolf at 18. And look what a great alpha he turned out to be. No other wolf in the pack could stand on par with him.” “What does that have to do with anything?” “It means that you, my baby sister, have nothing to worry about,” I said genuinely. “Your wolf will come to you soon and she will be beautiful.” “Thanks, Axel,” she replied with a smile as I pulled her into a tight hug. Unable to get Alana’s alluring violet eyes out of my head, I said to Emily, “I have to go to the omegas section. Now.” With a surprised look and a smile on her face, she asked, “What business do you have with pack omegas?”
