Wolf-less Omega Luna

CHAPTER 31: A PROMISE DELIVERED

CHAPTER 31: A PROMISE DELIVERED

Alana’s POV

What could be worse than being utterly mortified? I was obliterated.

“Come on, Alana hit me with what you’ve got.” Axel poked my chest from where he sat on the bed facing me.

It shouldn’t have been considered teasing since he was dead serious about it, but there was nothing serious about an unshifted werewolf roaring and howling, or at least attempting to in my case.

“No. I can’t.” I protested for the thousandth time. NôvelDrama.Org is the owner.

“It can’t be that bad. I just want to know what we’re working with here.”

“I haven’t howled since I lost my wolf. I haven’t roared either. I'm not fast or strong. I have nothing,” I said, feeling a pang knotting my chest.

I thought that by now, I would be comfortable talking about being unshifted at least when it's with Axel but it still hurts the same.

“You do, Alana. You’re a werewolf. Shifted or not, the fact doesn’t change.”

I sighed heavily. “If you laugh, I’ll kill you.”

“I wouldn’t dare. Hit me.”

I hit him. He was hit.

I cleared my throat, jutted my chin to incline my head away from him and I released my vocals.

The howl came out strained and raspy, like Lexi's singing voice. “Let me try again.” He nodded.

I narrowed my senses, focused my mind on the moon, and called to it from deep within me.

It wasn't as raspy as the first but it came out as more of a whimper and Axel hummed in approval anyway.

“Roar.”

This was embarrassing.

Seeing my hesitation, he continued. “That should be easier. I’ve heard growls reverberating in your chest.”

“Alright, Axel.”

“I would never hurt you,” he said and took my hands in his.

My brows pinched together as to why he would say that.

The last time and the closest I got to a roar was the day I lost control of my anger and challenged Britney.

I pushed Axel's comment aside, assumed it was Britney sitting across me, and for the first time in years, I roared.

I gave it my best try but what was supposed to be a roar ended up sounding like a wounded cub’s cry. The second time, a passerby could've mistaken it for an angry meow.

Maybe my wolf’s windpipe was broken after a long period of disuse.

I looked at Axel sadly but his face was flat and it didn’t in any way prepare me for his response.

His head shifted but the rest of his body remained as it was. His eyes glowed with silver curling around the orbs, fangs descended, ears tipped forward and his nose was replaced with a snout, all in less than a second.

He let out a roar in my face that burst my eardrums and shook the entire room to its foundation.

A…feeling took over me. A reflex response.

My canines dropped immediately and I returned a fierce roar that was intended to match with my mates’. One I’d never produced in my entire life. One I doubted even came from me.

I gasped, flung my palms over my mouth to muffle the sound that seemed like I was challenging Axel and as I did, sharp uncladded claws nicked my left cheek.

“That’s more like it,” Axel smiled at me as his face returned to normal.

“I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to.” I tried sheathing the claws but they weren’t budging.

I pressed them close against my palm, causing the claws to prick my skin.

“It’s nothing to be sorry about. If anything, you should be proud. Mates are seen as equal and that

explains why you would want to stand on par with your mate. It’s not a show of competition, it’s more like complementation.”

He inched closer to me, his leg grazing mine where they met on the floor of the bed, took a stray hair and tucked it behind my ear, grazing the rim softly and humming.

“Your eyes.” He said.

“What about them?” I swallowed as his hot breath replaced his fingers that had slipped down to my neck.

“They have gold in them. It’s spellbinding. Enthralling.” He inhaled sharply. “The things you do to me, Alana.”

That was new.

As much as I wanted to run to the nearest mirror and check out the new… development in my eyes, or curl into a ball at Axel's comment, I was glued to the spot, electricity currenting me inside out.

“Tell me.”

There’s no way I said that. Alana. Flirting back.

His head shot up and I met his gaze with his eyes narrowed and lips curled up slightly.

“You make me so crazy. I smell you from miles away and all I can think of is pumping my seed into you. I want you. I want you.”

I didn’t need any more convincing. His thick, low voice carried enough conviction to make a mad person believe him.

“I want you more.” And I did.

“I promised to take that gown off you.”

As soon as we had entered the room from the date, Axel led me to the bed and turned on his doctor mode, trying to help me remedy my…situation.

It was hella hot! A sexy ass man in a tuxedo roaring? Give me another ticket, please.

“I’m about to fulfill my promise.” His voice sliced through me again, erupting a shiver from my neck to my feet.

My throat chose to go desert dry at that moment. Perfect timing, vocal cords.

He stood up slowly, his figure of well over six feet towering over me on the bed.

“Get up.” His voice dropped low, but it was a command I was more than happy to obey.

He circled me like a predator accessing his prey and I fought the urge to reach out to him and rip his shirt off. Don’t tease me.

His warm lips took a mound of flesh from my neck, sucking on it sensually. Driving me to the edge.

“This is my spot.” He mumbled onto the spot on my neck where a mate's mark was to be tattooed.

He came in front of me and trailed my hand down his neck.

“And this is my spot,” I said, claiming what was mine. I tipped to my toes, wrapped my hands around his neck, and sunk my fingers at the base of his hair, taking a deep inhale before kissing the spot on his neck. Sucking and nibbling.

I felt my fangs dropping and almost driving home in full force. It took all of my willpower to pull back.

I felt the bond alright. I felt it in my sleep. I felt it in Axel's absence and his presence. When he was

so close to me, the bond was strong and it pulled me to him like a moth to flame, making me want to break every code of conduct known to exist.

Axel hunched slightly, wrapping his large hands over each of my thighs, pulling me up, and settling me down on his waist, his rock-hard member stabbing me in the stomach.

My leg wrapped around him, firmly pressing his ass as support.

I rocked my hips back and forth, found the perfect spot that drew a moan from both Axel and me, and I swore I could do it all day.

Mouths collided in a frenzy and we both gasped. I worked it violently, not seeking the upper hand in the hot kiss, but deepening it to give him all of me and taste all of Axel’s ambrosia. His god-like nectar.

He pulled away with a deep groan, making me whine and get wetter. “Don’t stop. Please.” I begged.

Hell, I could go on my knees and beg. Thinking about it now, I wanted to.

All his sultry voice said was, “We’re just starting,” And my bones turned to jelly.

He dropped me from his waist and we both peaked down to see the tip of his bulge soaking a spot

on his pants.

Pink flushed my cheeks and I turned away.

Axel spun me around and pressed his crotch against my back. He gave my cheek a small but firm smack before he let go.

“Is that all you can do, Alpha?” I wanted more. And if I had to tease him to get it, I would.

Who this Alana was, I didn’t know if you asked me. But boy was I enjoying it.

He smacked his lips, released a warning laugh from his chest and he tugged my zipper down, letting the material pool at the bottom of my legs.

In a snap second, his shirt was ripped off and tossed to the side, followed by his pants being torn to pieces.

I whined, his heat pulling the hairs on my back to attention and he growled in response.

Axel made a promise, and he was about to deliver on it and boy was I happy.
