Chapter 499
Chapter 499
"Oh, don't do that."
"Baby, I have helped you to deal with that concern. Is this how you thank me?"
"Didn't I keep bringing Young Master Moore and his friends to your bar these days. He even ordered
the most expensive wine in your bar that day. Do you still think that I have not been treating you well?"
"Well, I even lied to the police for you. It's just some wine spending, that's not enough to compensate
me."
"Hey, slow down. What if someone shows up?"
"Who will show up? It's noon now. Even if there are people walking in, it'll be during night time. Don't
think about running away."
It was the conversation of a man and a woman inside the room.
Lucille recognized the woman's voice at once. It was Yvonne!
Upon eavesdropping their
conversation, Lucille could understood what they meant although she might be slow in her
understanding at times.
The door was partially open. She pushed it open gently.
Her hands were trembling and sweating while was pushing the door open.
Fortunately, the ground was carpeted which absorbed the sound of the door opening.
However, she did not dare to open it widely. She just left it open with a small gap.
Through the gap, Lucille saw that Yvonne was sitting on top of a desk with her legs crossed. The man
in front of her was wearing a white blouse with both of his plump legs exposed.
"You are so impatient."
Yvonne nudged Owen. Even though she was unwilling, eventually she allowed him to continue with
what he was doing.
"Baby, you are so stunning. Whenever you are here, I will get an erection for two hours just by staring
at you." Owen was breathing heavily.
"Two hours? You are able to last two hours? You have taken some drugs, haven't you?" Yvonne sat on
the office desk with her eyes drooping. She squinted at Owen with a look of reluctance.
Lucille looked on and thought of a scene in a drama series.
She turned on the sound recording and then switched to video recording on second thought...
"Drugs? You are my drugs." Owen leaned down and said with a grunt, "Hey, I'm entering."
Yvonne put on an expression of pain. Although she looked expressionless, she clenched her fists and
endured for a while before saying, "Are you sure the police won't find out about this?"
"Of course, don't you believe me? I have the final say in Neon Bar." Owen assured her.
"I'm just...Slow down!" Yvonne wanted to say something but was cut off in the end.
"That woman is just Franklin's ex-wife. What are you afraid of? Why do you have to do such a risky
thing? If she was frozen to death in the store that day, I will be in huge trouble."
Yvonne frowned after hearing what he said. "How can I not be afraid? When I said that she refused to
change her clothes and left that day, Young Master Moore became suspicious in an instant. Although
he didn't say anything at that time, he..."
Owen enjoyed himself while he chatted with Yvonne, "I won't disclose to anyone at my end here. If
Franklin says something, there's nothing I can do."
"He won't." Yvonne was confident initially but then felt a little uncertain thereafter. The more she
thought about it, the more irritated she became. She pushed Owen away, "Are you done? Hurry up."
"Alright, alright." Owen panted.
Yvonne raised her head as she spoke and happened to see a gap at the door. She grumbled, "Why
didn't you shut the door?"
As she was talking, she saw a piece of black object blocking the seam of the door...
The object was shaking a little.
"Someone's there!" Yvonne shouted.
She was so frightened that her hair stood on ends. She pushed Owen aside, picked up the clothes
beside her and quickly put them on.
"What are you talking about?" The manager of the bar, Owen was displeased when Yvonne pushed
him away.
"There's someone outside the door, taking pictures of us!"
Yvonne was very anxious that she was on the verge of tears.
After all, she was an artist. Although she was not very famous, if the matter was exposed, she would
never be able to make a comeback for the rest of her life.
Lucille realized that she had been discovered. She was terrified that she quickly chucked away her
phone into the bag and dashed away.
Both Yvonne and Owen were busy putting on their clothes and did not manage to chase after her
immediately.
When Lucille ran out, the waiter asked, "Have you met the manager?"
"Yeah."
Lucille replied politely and ran out quickly.
When she was at the entrance, she quickly took a cab and left.
Soon, Yvonne and Owen rushed out as well.
The two of them ran to the door, glancing around but could not see anyone. They then went back into
the bar.
Owen was out of breath. He didn't button up his blouse, nor did he zip up his pants. Yvonne's clothes
were wrinkled and her hair was messy. Her makeup was smudged.
No matter how stupid the others were, they could tell what the two of them had done a moment ago.
"Was there anyone here just now?" Owen glared at the waiter, who was wiping the table and asked
angrily.
"Yes, there was...'
The waiter wanted to inform directly, but judging by the look of the two people, he could guess that
Lucille might have run into the scene of what the manager was doing with the woman.
Therefore, he didn't dare to talk nonsense.
Yvonne was furious, "Who was it? Was it a reporter?"
"No, Mr. Owen. It's a young girl who wants to look for you. She said that she came with Young Master
Moore a few days ago and left behind her things here. I heard that she knows Young Master Moore,
so..."
The waiter stopped at that moment.
However, everyone realized what had just happened...
"What's wrong with you?!" Owen was enraged, "How can you let any random people in to see me?"
"I'm sorry."
The waiter was actually quite aggrieved, but Owen was the manager after all. He didn't dare to say
anything further if he still wished to keep his job.
"A young girl?" Yvonne seemed to have realized something, "Does she have any special trait?"
"No." The waiter shook his head, "She's in ordinary clothes, long hair, and with a sling bag."
What he said was not enough to prove that the person was Lucille. © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.
"Is she beautiful?" Yvonne asked again.
"Well, she looks simple." The waiter knew that he had done something wrong, thus he did not forget to
flatter hoping he could make amends, "Definitely not as good- looking as you."
Yvonne often went to the bar with Franklin in recent days. She could be considered as Franklin's
temporary companion. Hence, no one in the Neon Bar dared to offend her.
"Could it be her?" Owen wondered.
At that moment, Owen also understood who Yvonne was talking about. He was a bit flustered.
After all, they had been talking about what had happened that day.
If the person was indeed Lucille, she had probably recorded the whole scene. Then they would not able
to deny it.
"How would I know?" Yvonne could no longer hold her anger. She raised her voice, "Hurry up, get me
the surveillance video."
Owen was the manager of the bar, but he was still an employee after all.
If the matter was exposed to his higher management, he would be in trouble too.
"Get the CCTV footage, get it right now!"
Owen quickly got someone to check the CCTV footage in the security room.
The recording was very clear.
Both Yvonne and Owen could recognize in an instant that the person who was at the bar earlier was
Lucille.
