Your Guise Is Slipping, Miss Pearl

Chapter 1210

Chapter 1210

Pearl's expression was equally cold as she realized how serious the situation was. "First, we need to find out where the boy is from. It's like someone has hidden his past on purpose. We can't find anything."

"I feel so too," Richard agreed.

But Pearl still couldn't believe it when she thought about it. "We have the boy's home address here. Should we visit and ask about it sometime?"

Besides, the boy's house was not far from Waldorf Residence.

"I'm free today. How about we go now?"

Richard got ready to start the car. But he didn't expect to see someone he thought he'd never see again at the door.

"Jenny?"

Pearl was startled at the name.

Lorrie didn't look surprised at Richard's shocked face. "Sir, you're mistaken."

Richard was sure he wasn't wrong. The woman had some changes in her, but her face and the familiar feeling convinced Richard she was Jenny.

"Why are you here?" he asked bluntly.

"I didn't come to see you today. I'm here to meet Pearl."

Pearl raised an eyebrow. "Miss Lorrie, stop beating around the bush."

"Aren't you going to invite me in? Or do you want to leave your guest standing outside?"Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Pearl forced a smile. "Please come in."

Lorrie made herself comfortable on the sofa as if she owned the place. "You know why I'm here."

"If it's about the business deal, I won't change my mind."

Lorrie sighed at Pearl's firm stance, seeing it as a lost cause. "You'll need Lawson Enterprises' help if you want to succeed in tech."

"Don't make it too complicated."

"What do you mean?" Lorrie was puzzled, trying to guess Pearl's plan. It surprised her that Pearl remained so determined. She thought Pearl was being too sure of herself.

"I can't tell you that." Pearl brushed off her concern lightly.

"I won't dampen your spirits, but don't come crying later." Lorrie was indeed there to show off, but she found Pearl's attitude boring.

Their disagreement led to a silent standoff, and Lorrie decided to leave. But then, Richard called out," Jenny."

"I'll say it again. I'm not Jenny." Lorrie looked surprised and glanced at Pearl, wondering if she had revealed her true identity.

Pearl simply shook her head. Lorrie felt relieved but then angry. She thought Pearl kept her secret, fearing she'd disrupt their peace.

However, this cheered her up a bit. If her presence could shake up their relationship, that would be quite the twist.
