Chapter 454
Chapter 454
Xavier got into the elevator and Edward followed him in.
The two of them did not speak.
The fact that Edward followed him in already showed his answer.
After getting into the elevator, Xavier pressed the button and went to the top floor.
The hotel was fully equipped. You could have fun here while getting a good rest.
On the top floor, there was a bar for parties, chatting, drinking, and even talking about work.
However, this was a resort hotel so most people stayed here on vacation.
Ding ding
The phone in Xavier's pocket rang. Xavier took out his phone and clicked on it. The message was from
Jacob: Room 301.
After reading the text message, Xavier put his phone in his pocket. Edward wanted to say something
but didn't know how to put it.
The elevator stopped and Xavier walked out. Edward followed him.
The private room reserved by Jacob was deep inside the bar, but the good side about it was that it was
quiet.
Xavier pushed open the door of the private room. Edward saw Jacob inside and stood at the door for
two seconds before walking in.
Jacob had already ordered the wine. There was a low table in front of the black leather sofa with three
glasses on it. Jacob opened a bottle of wine and filled the glasses one by one.
Jacob was on Xavier's left, and Edward sat down on Xavier's right, deliberately separating himself from
Jacob.
Jacob picked up a glass of wine and drank it. He drank so fast that he almost choked. He frowned and
put down the glass to refill it.
"Edward..."
"What's up?" Edward's voice was a little cold. "I'm not here because of you. I came here because of
Xavier."
He knew right from wrong. Xavier had helped him court Bridget before.
He was unhappy with Jacob, but he had to show his gratitude to Xavier.
Xavier squinted at one side as if he did not care about what happened between them at all. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
Jacob lowered his head and smiled. How skillfully destiny made fools of people!
"When you came back from abroad, Bridget and I weren't together. She used me to make you give up
without me knowing it..."
"Why did she do that?" Edward didn't understand.
Jacob looked up at him and smiled sarcastically. "Have you married when you came back?"
Edward pursed his lips and remained silent.
"What did you wanna do then? Divorce your wife and marry Bridget?" Jacob asked.
Edward didn't know how to answer his questions.
Although he didn't love Demi, she was kind and innocent, so he didn't want to hurt her at all.
"I know it's hard for you to accept that Bridget and I are together, but there are some things I want to tell
you. Although Bridget and I have got married, we haven't had sex yet..."
In fact, Jacob was also wronged.
At that time, in that situation, they had no other choice. They had to do it for the company, for the Jones
Family.
"When we got married, we didn't love each other. We only got married out of responsibilities." Jacob's
voice was a little low. He picked up a glass of wine on the table and drank it again. He frowned
because of the burning in his throat.
He put down the glass heavily and took a deep breath. "Edward, I'm sorry!"
Because he did fall in love with Bridget.
Edward lowered his head and remained silent.
"As long as you can get it all out today, even if you have to punch me or hurl insults at me, I won't fight
back nor will I say anything back." Jacob looked at Edward. "Say something!"
He had said everything he wanted to say. What else could he do if he was still mad about him?
Edward actually understood that Bridget didn't like him very much. She showed him affection at the
beginning out of guilt.
If she really liked him, she would have expressed her feelings when she went to his wedding. She had
a chance, but she didn't say anything.
She just didn't love him. That was it.
Edward took a large sip of wine. It was so strong that his face twitched.
Jacob turned up his lips. "Don't drink so fast."
"Shut up! I don't need you to tell me that." Edward said to him angrily.
Jacob licked his lips. "I don't care, but I have to be honest with you. I am in love with Bridget. If you
accept the fact and give me your blessings, that's the best. But if you can't accept it, or you won't bless
me, it's also OK. I won't keep anything from you."
"I'll kill you!" Edward gulped down the wine left in his glass.
Jacob smiled. "Well. You won't do that."
Edward slammed the glass on the table. "Didn't you say that you wouldn't retort?"
Jacob frowned.
"Okay, fine, I'll keep my mouth shut." Jacob looked as if he was at his mercy.
"Come here and pour me some wine!" Edward leaned back, looking like a king waiting to be served.
Jacob came over with the bottle in his hand. When he bent over to pour the wine into his glass, Edward
put his arm around his neck, grabbed his head, and pulled him down.
Jacob lowered his head. "If you want to hit me, just do it, but don't hit my face."
"You still care about your face?" Edward punched him in the stomach, and Jacob frowned in pain. "You
are really hitting me?"
"Why shouldn't I? I have to teach you a lesson. I'm angry. You have to let me vent it."
"Fine, you can continue as long as you feel good about it."
Edward punched him and then pushed him over, snatching the wine from his hand. "Hitting you hurts
my hand."
Jacob rubbed his stomach and sat down beside him.
Edward filled his glass and they began to drink together.
After three rounds of drinking, Jacob straightened his expression. "Is your wife good to you?"
Edward's hand, which was holding the glass, paused slightly. He raised his head and took a sip of the
wine. "She's good."
Demi was very considerate. She treated him and his family very well.
"And she's pretty." Jacob also took a sip of the wine.
"You only care about appearances?" Edward frowned.
Jacob smiled shamelessly. "Then I'm going to get a deeper understanding of her. May I?"
"Edward!" Edward grabbed his neck and pressed it against the sofa. "Fuck you."
"I'm about to be out of breath." Jacob's voice squeezed out of his throat. "Let go of me. You can fuck
me if you want, OK?"
Edward squeezed his neck even harder. "Will you if you cut some crap?"
"You never know."
"Then go to hell!"
"If I die, I will haunt you forever."
"I'm not afraid of ghosts!"
