A Successful Career After Divorce

Chapter 820: Itching

Ranita couldn’t help but laugh and cry.

“Ayaan, this is an adult matter, you shouldn’t get involved! Just grow up happily and carefree!”

Although Ayaan was young, he could sense Shannon’s hostility, which caused him to show resistance.

“But… she’s really bad! She wants to be my mommy, and that’s absolutely not allowed!” Ayaan could remember this for a very long time!

And he had decided that he would never forget.

Ayaan only had one mommy, the beautiful and fragrant one right in front of him.

“You! Mommy knows, thank you for your favoritism.”

Ranita felt Ayaan’s affection towards her. “You should go out now, mommy will be out soon.”

After washing her hands, Ranita cut some fruit for Ayaan, and the three of them enjoyed their time together.

Before dinner, Allen called and said he bought a big Lego set. Ayaan immediately left his parents and went back to the villa.

Ranita suddenly felt that all the previous emotions were fake.

“Ranita, how did you treat Ayaan in Slovenia? He ran away with just a Lego set!” Brendon was furious.

Ranita raised an eyebrow. “He was just like any other ordinary child in Slovenia, going to school, playing after school. I was busy most of the time, and he liked reading or playing with some strange things.”

“I didn’t really take care of him.”

After a pause, Ranita added, “Oh, by the way, he helps me take out the trash and tidy up things every day to earn pocket money.”

Upon hearing this, Brendon asked, “So Ayaan thinks the family is poor?”

“Not really, he’s just thrifty! Those large Lego sets like the space cruiser are expensive… he never buys them.”

“If someone gives it to him, he’s quite happy.”This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.

Brendon held Ranita’s hand. “You should have told me earlier.”

What difference would it have made if she had told him?

Ranita held back her words and changed the topic with lowered eyelashes. “What do you want to eat tonight? I can have it delivered.”

“Anything other than plain congee?” Brendon asked back. “By the way, did you meet Allen at noon because of Steve Pearson?”

“You really care about him! He’s in South Africa, thousands of kilometers away, and you’re still so concerned.”

Ranita brought the pre-meal medicine to his lips. “Drink your medicine quickly.”

“I do care about him. Dr. Pearson is the most important person to me and Ayaan!” Ranita was irritated. “I miss him, what does it have to do with you?!”

She was going to drive him crazy!

Brendon fell silent instead. He obediently took his medicine and calmly said, “I’m sorry.”

Those years were the pain that settled in Ranita’s heart and the scar in his heart.

He was too childish. Even if he was jealous, he shouldn’t have said those words. Brendon reflected on himself, “I shouldn’t have said those things. I know you’re worried about Steve Pearson. The latest news I received was from before I was hospitalized, so far it’s okay.”

To avoid an argument, Ranita skipped the topic.

“Speaking of which, I have something to settle with you!” Ranita took out her phone from her pocket. “Brendon, do you want to confess or should I say it?”

Brendon was taken aback.

“Huh? What should I confess?” Brendon innocently looked at her.

Ranita chuckled. “Why is Allen’s phone with you? Since when did you start replacing him to contact me?”

“You better confess honestly!” Ranita threatened like a cat showing its claws, fierce enough to scratch his heart.
