Chapter 113
Chapter 113
Luca’s POV
I washed my hands for the uptenth time today beneath the cold water of the tap in the kitchen and
moped my hands on the towel hanging off the hook on the top of the wall before turning around and
existing the empty kitchen, heading straight into the sitting room, all the while, my fingers were
absentmindedly playing against the edge of my skirt as I stepped into the sitting room and headed
straight for one of the windows in the sitting room. I moved my eyes towards the wall to eye the huge
clock hanging off the wall. It was recently past one in the afternoon and I knew I needed to find the
guards and get whatever it was that Luca had relayed to them, because I was just sure that he had left
me a message for them.
I placed my phone on tne couch which was closest to me at the moment and turned around to place
my hands against the curtains, using my barely firm grip to flutter the curtains around a little, dragging
in deep breaths into my lungs as the cold air or the sitting room rushed into my face slowly, causing a
little sheen of goosebumps to gather over the top of my skin almost immediately.
I pulled the curtain open and allowed my eyes to slide close as sunlight ghosted over my face in the
next second, courtesy of the opened window which I was currently standing in front of. This particular
window wasn’t positioned high up the wall compared to the window which I had stood in front of
yesterday, and I was able to stare directly out of it without having to stretch up a little, and I also wasn’t
in heels at the moment.
I stretched my fingers out and lightly grazed it against the surface of the next window, loving how the
hot surface of the window slightly burned into my fingers, making me feel like I was currently touching
or playing with a tiny bit of flames. I bit on the insides of my lips as I stared out the window and slowly
retrieved my fingers back to myself as I sighted a few guards moving around this particular window. I
took a few steps away from the window at that moment, because I didn’t want them to notice that I was
standing there at the moment.
But when they barely stopped beside the window, not to talk it staring into it, I slowly moved forward
once again to stand before the closed window, starting to wonder it the window was tinted from the
outside whereby those positioned on the outside of the window wouldn’t be able to see what was
happening inside the house, but those standing inside the house would be able to see what was
happening outside very perfectly, like it was with cars window.
I gawked on my lower lips and stretched my fingers out once again, pressing the top of my fingers
firmly against the screen of the window, wanting to feel that burning, tingling sensation move over the
top of my fingers once again.
After staying in that particular position and seeing that none of my two personal bodyguards were going
to make their way into the house to come perform their normal routine which involves checking the
whole house to ensure that it was perfectly safe and empty, nor to come inside here and come check if
I was already awake.
I pushed myself away from the window and moved my fingers through the silk of the curtains as I
pulled the curtains into place once again, right before I turned around and started to move towards the
doorway leading out of the sitting room.
I made my way down the hall until I was standing outside the door which was leading outside, and I
hesitated almost immediately, not knowing if what I was about to do was allowed or not.
I had no idea if I was allowed to leave the hoise oh my own and I didn’t want a situation whereby I’d
leave the house and something would happen gimme a soon as I step outside of here. I also didn’t
want to be in any kind of situation whereby Luca would learn about the fact that I had left the house on
my own, and then he might get extremely angry at me and decide to not allow me to paint again like he
had given me permission to yesterday.
I placed my hand on the door knob and pulled it down, biting on my lips on seeing that it was currently Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.
locked, hindering the door from getting opened as soon as I had tried to get it open. I moved my weight
from foot to foot as I started to chew on the side of my lips, contemplating on what I was going to do at
this very moment.
Or do I go meet either Matilda or Sarah and ask them if it was alright if I go outside, or do I ask them if
they could go outside and go help me get either Ethan or Ryan.
It was either I do one of those options because at this very moment, there wasn’t a thing that I could do
again, except to go meet either of the two women who were currently in different parts of the house,
seeing as the door leading outside was currently locked and there was nothing I could do about that
issue since I didn’t even know where the keys were kept at.
I honestly still felt like a stranger here and I barely knew every part of the house perfectly well, even
though I had been given a tour of the whole house, the second day after I had gotten married to Luca.
I pulled my hand off tne door knob and turned around, making my way down tbe hall and turning
around in one of the corners, trying to find another Sarah or Matilda.
I knew it was going to be a bit hard because I had no idea where either women currently were.
But I was going to go search for them either way.

“Oh, you’re searching for the body guards?” Matilda echoed after me after I had spoken to her, as soon
as I had discovered where she was located, which was in the laundry room.
I shook my head at her immediately before correcting what she had said. “No, not searching for them, I
haven’t seen them today, remember? And I also had no idea where they are located in at the moment,
they also haven’t made their way in here throughout the whole of today.” I said to her and watched as
she Hnodded her head a few seconds after I was done ttalking.
“They’re probably outside, they could be either trailing tne other newly recruited guards since morning,
which was probably why they haven’t made their way into the house throughout today…” Matilda
started to say before suddenly trailing off and shaking her head before continuing almost immediately.
“No, no… I saw Ryan come into the house early this morning, after Mr Ricci had left for work, he had
come to do a sweep of the whole house then, I think you were still fast asleep then.”
“Oh.” I echoed out slowly, watching as she nodded her head as she bent forward to pick up a towel
from a basket and started to mop her hands with it.
“Now, you need to find one of them, right?” She asked and I nodded my head at her in indication. She
stared at me for a few seconds before starting to inquire. “Do you need anything, ma’am?” She asked
and I almost winced on hearing the ‘ma’am’ in the sentence.
I nodded my head at her as I started to speak. “Oh yeah, I wanted to see them about my whole painting
stuffs, because you know… I am supposed to get them all in their situated places and set up where I’d
be painting in.” I said to her and watched as a look of realization crossed her face after a few seconds.
“Oh, that.” She echoed out and I nodded my head once at her.
“I could go help you get them right now.” She said as she started to move away from one of the
washing machines which she had been fiddling with when I had made my way in here, minutes ago, to
come stand a few feet away from me.
“Please.” I said to her and watched as she had started to make her way past me, heading towards the
entrance of the laundry room.
“Um, Matilda?” I called out as soon as I had turned around, a fleeting moment later. I watched as
Matilda paused immediately, her hand which was about to pull oh tbe handle of tne door was hanging
in the air as well.
