Betrothed To The Mafia Lord

Chapter 116

Chapter 116

Sofia’s POV

I shook my head to get the thoughts which were currently swimming around my head, out of my mind

as I stared up into both guards direction and started to speak, feeling my fingers draw weird shapes on

my exposed waist since my hands were still wrapped around my waist in a tight hold.

I moved a little in my current spot, refusing the urge to take a few steps backwards until my back was

pressed against the wall– not because I was feeling crowded, overwhelmed or whatnot, but because

my knees were starting to hurt and I didn’t feel like standing and resting my weight on my knees

anymore at this very moment.

“So um, did he show you guys where the room is located and which particular room it was going to be

in?” I asked and watched as Ethan nodded his head once before he started to speak, “Yes ma’am, he Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

did.” Ethan replied before pointing down the hall, to the left corner before he continued. “It’s just down

the hall, a few doors down.” Ethan said and I felt my heart start to float as a few words started to dance

around in my head, so now I have a room which I was going to be using in painting? And it was going

to be for me and no one else.

Oh my gosh. It still feels so overwhelming.

“Let’s go there then? Since we’re going to set it up today.” I said to them and watched as Ryan nodded

his head as he started to speak. “Alright ma’am, let’s head over there then.” He pointed toward the

down or the hallway in indication for me to lead the way and I hesitated for a moment, not wanting time

to walk behind me, but ended up starting to turn around and head towards the said direction, because I

knew that this was how it was supposed to be done.

Because they were my bodyguards, it means they wrecked supposed to walk behind me, and not

before me, so there was no use for me to try argue or disagree, I thought to myself as I allowed my

haves to fall at my side as I made my way down the hallway and took the left turn, opposite the corner

where Matilda had disappeared into, where the laundry room was located in.

“The third room after this particular door.” I heard Ethan’s voice behind me and I nodded my head even

though none of them could see my face, as I started to count the roots as I walked by, before finally

slowly stopping beside the said door.

It was the door beside Luca’s office…

My room which I was going to be painting in was positioned beside Luca’s… why?

Why did he decide to give me this particular room that was built exwcgly beside his room? I asked

myself we I paused outside the door and stared at it, the question which jar popped into my head was

just floating around in my head at that moment.

Well, it could also because there was no other empty room except this particular room, in the whole

house, which was why he had decided to give me this particular room beside his office, and no other

reason behind it.

Or perhaps I was just overthinking everything way too much at this point, I started to mutter to myself

under my breath as I placed my hand on the doorknob and pulled on the handle until the door opened

on my grip.

I let myself into the room after throwing the door wide open, walking into it almost immediately. The

door was wide open as well as the windows and I dragged in a deep breath as soon as I got to the

middle or the room. I walked towards one of the windows and stood before it, leaning towards the

opened windows and dragging in a deep breath directly from where the warm and cool breath was

blowing into the room. I knew without even having to glance around the whole room, that there was an

air conditioner positioned in some place in here.

I turned back around to see both guards staring at me. They both averted their gazes as soon as I

stared into their faces and I bit on the lower part of my lips to avoid my face from spreading out into a

smile.

“The window wouldn’t be left open for long, it was just thrown open today in order to let out the stuffy

smell or the room, and in order to allow some much needed sunlight to shine into here,” Ethan started

to say after a few moments and I felt my heart start to deflect a little, as soon as his words had sank

into my head. To think I was already imagining some images in my head whereby I’d have become a

pro in this whole painting thing and I’d be probably painting in the early evening with the cool evening

breeze as well as the bright evening sun, making their way into the room through the two opened

windows and then the evening breezes could be blowing my hair around while the sun would come and

light up my painting even more, while making my hair since even more. But now, none of that was

going to be possible – or at least, most of that image wasn’t going to be coming to pass, because after

today, the window was going to be closed, closing the bright sun out.

“Oh,” I breathed out and pushed my shoulders up in a little shrug before I stared down at the floor, and I

noticed how the tiles on the floor was literally gleaming.

“Did someone clean out this room?” I asked both of them while still staring at the floor and raised my

head up to steer up at the both of them, and watched as Ryan started to speak.

“Yes ma’am. It got cleaned out by Sarah this morning, that was why we opened the window, in order to

let the air in here and get the stuffy smell out.” Ryan replied in a heartbeat and I nodded my head

before steering to run my hands against each other while staring around the whole room.

Feeling silly almost immediately, I stopped my hands from moving against each other and forced my

hands back to their sides as I started to speak. “So um, let’s start getting this place up then, shall we?” I

breathed out and watched as Ethan and Ryan agreed with a few words before starting to turn around

on their heels and made to exit the room.

Ryan paused and turned back around until he was facing me, and then he started to speak almost

immediately. “You’d stay here while we go get the stuffs over here, and then you can start to show us

where you want some things to be positioned in.” He stared to say and when I didn’t reply and still kept

staring at him, I watched as he started to shake his head before he began to reply. “Or you could go

wait in the sitting room, or upstairs, or any other place until when we are done setting this whole place

up, like Mr Ricci had said to Ethan.”

Ryan started to say before trailing off at the end when I still kept staring at him. I finally shook my head

and started to speak, while still staring up at him. “I’ll stay over here, and I’d help set this whole place

up.” I said tin him in reply and watched as he fooled his head once before starting to speak.

“No, no. You wouldn’t be touching a thing, that was what Mr Ricci had said this morning, you’d only be

pointing out where you want each thing to be placed in.” Ryan echoed out and I huffed out a tiny

breath, hating the way they were still insisting I not lay a hand on a thing.

Ethan, whom I hadn’t noticed had existed, suddenly loomed behind Ryan with a box containing lots of

paintings brushed and colors and I watched as Ryan quickly moved away from the doorway to make

wsy for Ethan to make his way into the room.

Ryan’s eyes met mine as soon as Ethan had made his way into the room to place the big carton box oh

the other side of the room, and it remained locked for a few seconds. I averted my gaze first, lifting my

hands to wrap it around my middle as the inside of my head started to feel weird all of a sudden, barely

noticing when Ryan along with Ethan this time, slipped oot of the room without making a sound.
