Hannah and the kids were done eating, Hannah took the kids to their room and helped them take their baths, after which she read them a bedtime story and put them to sleep.

She then went back to clear the dining table, but just then Brandon, who was done working and decided to take a break, was seen climbing down the stairs.

“Why are you clearing the table? Where are the maids?” He asked as he walked towards her.

“I’m starving, you didn’t call me to come join you guys for dinner,” Brandon said and Hannah paused.

“I thought you were busy, so I didn’t want to disturb you. Besides, It was just me and the kids,” Hannah said as she packed the plate inside the kitchen and Brandon followed her.

“What about mom?” He asked as he walked towards the fridge and opened it, then brought out a bottle of water.

“She’s busy with work. And as for Jessica, I don’t think she’s home yet” Hannah said, as she put the plates in the sink and started washing them.

“You don’t have to wash them, the maids can do it,” Brandon said as he stared at Hannah. He didn’t know why, he just didn’t want her stressing herself over minor things.

“No it’s fine, I can do it,” Hannah said and Brandon hummed while staring at Hannah from behind. She was wearing this simple straight gown that brought out her figure eight.

“What were you thinking? You thought I wanted to kiss you?” Brandon asked as he stared at Hannah who rolled her eyes at him and resumed washing the dishes.

“I told you, you could just ask me if you want anything,” Brandon said and Hannah knew he was teasing her, so she wasn’t going to pay any attention to him.

Brandon laughed and just then, a maid rushed inside the kitchen looking tense.

“Mr. Colby, you have to come with me,” she said, breathing heavily.

“What’s the problem?” Hannah asked and dropped the dish she was rinsing as she and Brandon followed the maid.

They entered Grandma Elizabeth’s room and saw her on the floor, her face looking burnt.

“What happened to her?” Hannah asked, looking worried.

“I don’t know Ma’am. I came to drop the towels I washed so I can go to bed and I met her this way” the maid said and Hannah stared at her and then she turned to Elizabeth, who was looking half conscious.

“I’ll call the ambulance,” Brandon said as he brought out his phone and walked out of the room.

Meanwhile, it was morning and Hannah had gotten the kids dressed up for school and went to drop them off before going back home.

Immediately, after she got home she met Arianna and Brandon in the sitting room.

“Do you have any idea who would do that to get it?” Brandon asked Arianna who sighed.

“We are not sure yet, let’s wait till she’s conscious and tell us who did it,” Brandon said as he stood up.

“Has anyone heard from Jessica?” Arianna asked and just then the door opened revealing Jessica.

“Where did you go last night?” Brandon asked

“I was with my friend. Where’s grandma? What happened to her?” Jessica asked.

“She’s at the hospital ” Hannah responded and Jessica stared at them waiting for an explanation concerning what happened and why she was at the hospital but everyone was staring at her without saying a word.

“Hello, can anyone tell me why she’s at the hospital and what happened?” Jessica asked and they sighed.

Brandon knows how much Jessica loves Elizabeth, even though she’s a bitch, Jessica still loves her so much and would break down if anything happened to her.

He would have thrown Elizabeth out of the house a long time ago, but Jessica was the reason he let her be.

“You should go to the hospital and see for yourself, the chauffeur will take you there,” Brandon said and with that, he walked away.

It wasn’t like he cared about Elizabeth, she was a bitch and deserves whatever happened to her.

Hannah who was looking worried trailed behind Brandon as they walked inside the study room.

“Do you think it was Robert or maybe someone walked inside the house and did that to her?” Hannah asked

“She’s still human, Brandon. Her face is burnt and she’s going through a lot of pain, she’s still family” Hannah said and Brandon turned wondering if it was Hannah speaking. He then frowned at Hannah.

“Family? For God’s sake, That woman tried to kill you and you still feel pity for her? Why do you have a kind heart, Hannah?” Brandon asked and Hannah stared at him without saying a word.
