Chapter 1129: Waiting for Fireworks (2)
It was a winter evening when Nico took Micaela to see a late night movie, a boring romantic movie that Nico never bothered to watch, but it was interesting to watch with Micaela.
The late night movie came out and Pizza Hut was still open.
Both of them, a little hungry, went into Pizza Hut for a late night snack.
Micaela ordered two shrimp with anchovies and a large slice of pizza.
Pizza Hut’s shrimp are fried, which Nico thought was mediocre, but Micaela loved them.
“You like this stuff that much, is it that good?”
Micaela says she doesn’t get it, “Before, when I was an actor, I rarely ate fried food to keep my body in shape. Because of the restriction of not eating for a long time, now that I don’t have to be an actor, I don’t have to be hard on my figure, so when I see Pizza Hut KFC, I can’t stay away. Plus…”
His eyes drooped and he laughed helplessly, “Children who lack childhood and parental love don’t get KFC or Pizza Hut as kids, and since they don’t get them, they either reject them or love them very much when they grow up.”
The man’s long fingers picked up a pineapple tail prawn and popped it into his mouth, “Since you like it so much, from now on Master will bring you here to eat every week. It’s okay if you treat me like a father.”
“That he wants you to be a father.” Micaela was amused.
Nico teased, “In bed more or less, role playing is pretty fun.”
Micaela pinched a prawn and shoved it straight into his mouth, “You can’t even eat to curb your reckless driving!”.
Nico ate the shrimp cocktail and looked at her with a meaningful smile.
After leaving the mall, the two didn’t rush home, too full from the Pizza Hut, Nico dragged Micaela outside for a walk along the road to cool off.
On a cold night in the dead of winter, a breath is a long white breath.
Nico grabs Micaela’s hand and tucks it into his coat pocket. Micaela doesn’t feel the cold at all, it’s as if she were walking down the street as if no one was watching, showing her love in all its splendor.
Nico didn’t care what people saw, even outside, he was the one kissing whenever he wanted, taking a few steps and pulling Micaela close to kiss her on the forehead. Finally, Micaela was so frustrated that she reached into Nico’s open coat at the end of the street, in a hidden spot, and wrapped her hands around his waist, bent her head and kissed his handsome chin.
The dim, warm glow of the road lights enveloped them.
A reckless, passionate kiss on the street with no one around.
Micaela was pretty sure she wanted to spend her life with this man.
…
Inside a private villa.
Kemena had showered and emerged from the bathroom wrapped in a thin bath towel.
The beauty out of the bathroom.
To Mr. Gallardo’s delight.
The man stepped forward and wrapped his arms around the woman’s waist, lowering his head to kiss her, when Kemena smiled slightly and raised her hand to cover the man’s mouth, “Mr. Gallardo, don’t be in a hurry, I need your help with something.”
Mr. Gallardo, an understanding man, smiled slyly and appraised Kemena, “Help is fine, but what kind of payment is Miss Matamoros planning to give me?”
When you’re an entrepreneur, you’re in business.
Kemena looked at him with her silken eyes, her fingers stroked the man’s chin, her red lips pressed to his ear, “If it works, Mr. Gallardo can do what he wants, I’ll cooperate.”
“Deal. Tell me, what is it?”
“I need to ask about my stepsister.”
A little surprised, Mr. Gallardo frowned and asked, “You need me, an outsider, to investigate your sister’s affairs, don’t you know that yourself?”
Kemena said, “I don’t have to hide it from Sister Gallardo either, I have never had a good relationship with her.”
Mr. Gallardo hesitated for a moment and said, “But now that Micaela is married to Nico, Nico is a king of hell and we must not mess with him. If we mess with his wife behind his back, he will destroy us.”
“Don’t worry, I just want your help to investigate something, not that I’m going to actually do anything, I’m just curious.”
Kemena overlapped and whispered in Mr. Gallardo’s ear.
…
It was 11:30 p. m. when Micaela returned home from her date with Nico.
After a hot shower, Nico got under the covers and hugged Micaela, who was leaning on the bed reading a book.
Micaela reads the same book as Nico, One Hundred Years of Solitude.
As soon as Nico got into bed, she took the book out of his hand and frowned, “Why are you reading One Hundred Years of Solitude if you’re already with me?”
Micaela couldn’t help but laugh at his outlandish words and asked, nuzzling his neck, “Didn’t you read this same book for those two years?”
“I see this one for the psychological comfort.”
“What psychological comfort?”
Nico lies back on the bed, crosses his arms over the back of his neck, looks up at the chandelier over his head, and says, “Take comfort in the fact that loneliness is ingrained in human nature, that there is nothing to remember, that life eventually returns to silence. Also take comfort in the fact that all the splendor and revelry I’ve had in my life will eventually have to be paid for by loneliness.”
It’s rare for Nico to say it in such a literary way, normally he sounds like he’s just hanging out, but now he says it like he’s going to some book club event right away.
Micaela smiled pleasantly, “Then what?”.
Nico turned his head to look at her, “And then he made sure that all the loneliness and isolation I was experiencing at that moment would be returned to me later with revelry and companionship.”
What an indiscriminate and sophistic reading this is.
But Micaela understood the meaning of his words and found the man really cute. Micaela moved closer to him and gently tickled his face with her delicate fingers, deliberately asking, “So, what do you want me to do to pay you back for those two years of loneliness and isolation?”
“Kiss me.” Nico demanded.
Micaela leaned over, threw herself into his arms and kissed him on the lips.
Nico was tempted by the kiss and took Micaela in his arms and pinned her down, his large hands stroking the locks of hair at her temples, gazing at her bright, stunning face through the warm orange light of the lamp and saying solemnly, “Micaela, give me a son. ”
“Do you want a boy or a girl?”
Micaela’s eyes were full of tenderness as she looked at him.
Long ago, she had never thought about marriage and children, but now, marriage and children with Nico had become a hope in life.
“A boy or a girl is fine, but preferably a girl, like you.”
This way, she can have a little more.
Micaela bent her head to kiss the corner of his lips and said tenderly, “Good.”
Nico covered both of their heads.
Together, we would share this tender love story.
First thing the next morning, Nico was due to board a plane to Europe.
Micaela woke up first against his arms and looked up at the window sill, where much of the thick snow that had fallen a few days earlier had melted.
It’s also winter in Europe at the moment.
Nico should wear a winter coat.
Nico woke up to see Micaela standing barefoot and in thin pajamas in front of his closet helping him look for clothes and unpack for his business trip.
The house is warm thanks to the underfloor heating and Micaela doesn’t get cold even in bare feet.
But Nico came over with his long legs and lifted her up from behind, “Don’t be afraid to freeze in such a small dress, who will take you to the hospital if I’m not home?”
Micaela looked at him, her gaze fixed on him.
She had never realized that she could be so attached to someone to such an extent.
She was so attached to him that even though she knew she was only going to be gone for a week, she wanted to be with him every moment.
Micaela threw her arms around his neck and asked, “Are you sure you’re not taking me with you?”
Nico curved his lips into a pleasant smile, “You’re already so far away from your man?”
“I was afraid you’d miss me and turn around in the middle of your business trip, so instead, why don’t you take me with you?”
Nico laughed out loud, his chest vibrating softly as he laid Micaela on the bed and pressed his lips against hers. “I’d like to take you with me, but not this time. I have an errand to run.”
“What is it?”Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
“Secret.”
Micaela didn’t ask him because she thought he was afraid that, if she accompanied him, she would be too distracted to work.
It’s a sentiment Micaela understands.
Micaela didn’t want Nico to come near her on set when she was filming because the man would just sit there and do nothing but annoy her.
Before leaving, Nico said arrogantly, half jokingly and half seriously, “Knowing that you can’t leave me now, I’ll be back as soon as possible to spend the New Year with you.”
Micaela stood in the courtyard to see him off and said, “Be careful on the way.”
As Nico walked to his car, Micaela suddenly called out to him again, “Nico.”
The man turned and looked at her with a deep, warm gaze.
Micaela said, “I’ll wait for you to come home and set off fireworks for me.”
Nico smiled and agreed warmly, “Okay.”
