Chapter 1130: Waiting for the fireworks (3)
The day Nico left, Micaela found something to do.
The group sent out wedding invitations.
It was also mistakenly sent to Dario, who is away in the UK.
After sending it, Micaela wanted to take it back, but when she pressed the button to take it back, she thought it wasn’t necessary.
She and Dario, for a long time, have been mutual friends.
There is nothing wrong with sending her a wedding invitation, even if it is deliberate.
As for whether he comes to the wedding or not, he does what he wants, Micaela doesn’t care.
If he comes, it means release. If he doesn’t come, if he can’t release, she doesn’t care.
After all, it’s just the past and it doesn’t hurt anymore.
…
Kemena approached Carlita with the help of Sr.
From the gossip she sends to ask Mr. Gallardo, she learns that Carlita approached Micaela once, but it was a bad time and Carlita tried to work to repair her maternal-filial relationship with Nico, but not only was there no way to do it with Micaela, but Micaela threw in the towel.
Kemena had asked Carlita to meet her in a private room of a very intimate coffee.
When Carlita arrived, she looked this Kemena up and down, disdainfully, and said in a condescending, cold voice, “You said on the phone that you could help me convince Nico to finance Pasqual’s underfloor heating? Are you serious or are you kidding?”Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
The girl in front of me, whichever way you look at it, doesn’t seem like the kind of girl who would catch Nico’s eye.
Carlita can’t help but wonder.
Kemena smiles, ignoring the glare of Carlita’s condescension, it’s just a loan anyway, Carlita is condescending to her now and will bend over backwards to beg her later.
“If I were kidding, I wouldn’t be bothering Ms. Carlita, let alone looking for a meeting with Ms. Carlita in a place like this.”
“Who the hell are you?” Carlita snapped.
Kemena said, “I don’t know if Ms. Carlita still remembers Micaela. I will definitely get revenge for this.”
Carlita took a sip of her coffee and asked deliberately, “What is Ms. Matamoros doing looking for me, an outsider, when she wants revenge on Micaela?”
Kemena curved her lips into a smile, “Ms. Carlita used to go to Micaela and ask her to help her repair her mother-son relationship with Mr. Nico, but Micaela was ungrateful.”
“So what, after all Micaela is going to marry Nico, and me going against her is tantamount to going against Nico. ”
Kemena threw down the last card and, with a calculating glint in her eye, said, “I know Micaela well, she’s proud, Mrs. I know that Pasqual Heating needs a lot of money today and that Pasqual Heating has been struggling for so long that if it doesn’t solve its financial problems, it will soon go bankrupt. Isn’t that why you’ve come back to the country to deal with Mr. Nico?”
“You checked up on me?”
Kemena didn’t deny it, just lifted her chin slightly and said, “Micaela can’t help you, I can.”
“What are you basing this on, how can I trust you?”
Kemena looked at Carlita and said, “My mother saved Mr. Nico’s life, I was already married to Mr. Nico, and if it wasn’t for this Micaela, I would be sitting in Mrs. I want Mrs. Carlita to help me get Micaela out of her position and I want her to never be able to get out of it.”
Carlita hadn’t expected this Kemena to have such a sinister side, but Pasqual Geothermal would go bankrupt if she didn’t get more funding from the Amengual Group, and Carlita wasn’t interested in working with the likes of Kemena, but at this juncture, she had to take a gamble first.
“What do you want to do?”
“I know all about Micaela’s past. And I certainly know where it will be fatal for Micaela. What I give back to Ms. Carlita, if she’s willing to help, will be unexpected by Ms. Carlita. ”
“Okay, I’ll help you.”
…
London, England.
Late in the evening, a special email arrives in Dario’s inbox.
That email was from Micaela, an invitation to marry Nico.
They are going to have a marriage ceremony.
Dario drank several glasses of gin, his lungs burning hot and the tearing sensation was profound.
He remembers the year Micaela met him, when she was only sixteen and a child. After they got together, they had fights over minor issues, the worst of which was when he slammed the door, had a bad attitude and came back in the middle of the night.
He took only one piece of candy and cajoled her into behaving.
But the woman he once cajoled with a simple candy bar has become the one he can’t win back even with mountains of gold and silver.
Darius looked at the wedding invitation, which was overly penetrating with the couple of people in the lyre.
Sometimes, he really envies Nico.
He envied Nico for meeting Micaela at the most opportune stage of his life.
He didn’t want to admit it, but he had to admit that the order of appearance in life was really important. When he was at the bottom of his life with no money, he didn’t even deserve to love himself, so how could he love someone else.
He even wished he had met Micaela later, when he had achieved fame and fortune, when he was free of any financial burden, and had given her the best of everything.
Back in the day, when he left, he also always thought that one day there would be a reunion and a moment when the mirror would be broken.
But the world is so big, and there are no deliberate agreements or compromises, and there are so many endless destinies and coincidences.
She’s getting married to Nico.
No wonder they never meet again, right?
Throughout his life, Dario was restrained, temperate, never indulgent, and always modest and courteous, and he attributed his success to these qualities in him.
But little did he know that these good qualities, as outsiders saw them, would cost him Micaela forever.
Wouldn’t it be different between them now if he had loved a little more passionately and with a little more abandon, without even thinking of the future?
I don’t know if it was the impulse of alcohol or the long repressed debauchery in his body that stirred, but Dario screamed.
In pure, fluent Spanish, the man indicated to the caller, “Ellie, book me a ticket to La Ciudad Santa, first thing in the morning.”
It is better to be carried away by this encounter, even if it means letting go, than to sit back and laugh and be blessed.
Dario knows all too well the pain of losing Micaela in his life.
I was afraid to try because I was afraid of losing him, and in the end, I didn’t even get to be friends, but that’s how easy it is to get ahead, and it’s only when you really lose him that you regret not having gambled.
When he was young, because his family was not well off, his parents always taught him not to get into trouble, not to fight, our family was poor and you couldn’t afford to lose.
When he was in college, he loved to paint, but his family did not allow him to pursue a career in art, which was too expensive. For the sake of his family, he studied finance, something he didn’t like, because it was the career he could succeed in the fastest.
Later, when he had great financial strength, he hired a professor from the Academy of Fine Arts and Colleges to be his teacher, teaching him to draw and to feel art.
However, painting was no longer fun, and the two hours of art classes a week were interrupted by important phone calls, which was boring.
In his life, he has never dared to gamble for fear of losing.
Nico, meanwhile, a gambler by nature and a loose cannon, lets his hair down again and again, driving Micaela to her breaking point.
Fear, dread, sadness, loss, devastation, despair … are inherently the essential emotions of love.
Time and again, Nico deepens these feelings of Micaela’s towards him with nasty tactics, eradicating him, Dario, from Micaela’s heart completely and without a trace.
He must have known that Micaela was a person extremely closed to her inner world, her heart was sunk under a million years of glacier, and if the sun wasn’t hot enough, how was she going to burst in if she had no character to play with.
