up.

Laurel picked up the call. Her nasal voice sounded gloomy as she spoke. Sensing Laurel's depressed

mood, Skylar asked, “Where did you go? Why didn't you come over this morning?”

Laurel replied, “I'm not feeling well, so I'm skipping work today.”

Skylar was rendered speechless. She couldn't help but wonder if she had been too easygoing toward

the people around her. No matter what, I'm still her employer. It's fine if she applies for sick leave and
