Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)

Chapter 140

Chapter 140

Estelle had been sitting on the balcony for an hour, feeling annoyed and in a bad mood. She didn’t

know whether it was because of the end of the relationship or because of the injustice and indignation

caused by Jonathan’s false accusations.

She picked up her phone, and the message she sent to Jonathan half an hour ago had still received no

reply.

Maybe he would never reply to her again.

Estelle’s emotions were a tumultuous mix of anger, injustice, disappointment, and a tinge of emptiness.

Even her beloved ice cream failed to ignite her interest anymore.

Fortunately, she had always maintained her composure and hadn’t allowed herself to fall for him

completely. Now that they were separated, she wouldn’t have to endure such misery.

Suppressing the bitterness that lingered within her, she experienced a sense of relief intertwined with

anger. She didn’t like Jonathan, and he wasn’t deserving of her affection!

Feeling suffocated, Estelle picked up her phone and looked through it, thinking about when to move out

and go to her own place, or maybe to Jason’s place at the Royal Mansion?

Or maybe she should move further away to avoid bumping into Jonathan in the future.

Her finger suddenly stopped, and she saw Manley’s Ins from two hours ago – the misleading text and

pictures.

Estelle sighed, her already annoyed mood becoming even more irritable. How could someone like

Manley exist?

No wonder Jonathan asked her if she had fallen for Manley.

He must have seen Manley’s Ins too.

For a moment, Estelle wanted to call Jonathan and clarify tonight’s events, but after a brief moment of

calm, she decided against it. His not replying to her messages already meant they had silently ended

their agreement.

Why bother with anything else?

The following day, as Estelle was busy packing her belongings, her phone rang, and she saw that it

was Emily calling. “Estelle, I want to let you know that I wasn’t actually fired from the dessert shop.

Instead, I’ve been transferred to a branch near the University of J City. This means we’ll have more

opportunities to see each other!” Emily exclaimed with excitement in her voice.

Estelle smiled faintly, “Really?”

“Yeah!” Emily was delighted. “Oh, I have something else to tell you. You said you rented a place near

the University of J City. Can I stay with you for a few days? The manager here said we newcomers

need training, and I have to get up very early. My place is too far away. I won’t make it in time by taking

transportation.”

Estelle didn’t say anything. She was planning to move out today.

Seeing her not speaking, Emily asked, “Is it inconvenient? If it’s not, I’ll find another place.”

“No, it’s fine.” Estelle chuckled, “Just stay for a few days. How can you find a place so fast? Where are

you now? Are you coming over?” After all, it was only for a few days, and Jonathan wouldn’t come. She

could wait for Emily to finish her training and then move out. Emily laughed, “I’m at the shop right now.

I’ll come over after work this afternoon. I’ll bring some cake for you.”

“Great!”

Estelle hung up the phone and looked at the half–packed clothes, showing a helpless expression and

then put them back one by one.

At five o’clock in the afternoon, she met Emily downstairs and brought her up. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

It wasn’t until Emily entered the room that she sighed, “Estelle, how come you didn’t tell me you’re

staying at the Royal Mansion? The landlord decorated this place so luxuriously, the rent must be

expensive, huh?”

Estelle responded in a soft tone, “Not really. I’ve only rented the guest room, so it’s not that

expensive.”

“It must still be more expensive than a regular place. I’ll give you money!” Emily took out her phone to

transfer money to Estelle.

Estelle chuckled, “Are you not treating me as a friend? If you insist on giving me money, then you

better not stay here!”

Emily pouted and let out a sigh. “You’re always helping me, and I feel like I’m taking advantage of

you.”

Estelle laughed softly. “Why don’t you mention how many of your desserts I’ve enjoyed?”

Emily snorted playfully. “They can’t even compare!”

Estelle looked at her with a gentle and serene expression, “In my heart, they hold the same value.”

Emily smiled, her eyes forming crescent moons, “Well then, I won’t hold back!

Estelle took her to the room next door. “This room used to store miscellaneous items, I’ve cleaned it up

and added a bed and a desk Take a look and see if you need anything else?”
