Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)

Chapter 156

Chapter 156

Estelle got a job working as a waitress in Midnight Bar. Because she’s pretty, she was assigned to the

VIP rooms on the 8th floor right off the bat, in charge of serving drinks to the customers.

After two days of training, she started working officially.

The supervisor of the 8th floor was named Mamie, who took her to meet the others on her first day.

There were a total of five VIP rooms on the 8th floor, with five waitresses. Except for Estelle, everyone

else has been working at Midnight Bar for over a year before being promoted to the 8th floor. So, the C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.

others threw her some weird looks.

Mamie, in her 30s, always wore business attire and had exquisite makeup. She instructed Estelle,

“Out of the five rooms, 8801 and 8809 are reserved for our regular customers. Even if other customers

arrive, you should not allow them access to those rooms. I assume you have been trained on other

protocols as well. Let me make this clear: the customers who reach the 8th floor are of utmost

importance. Avoid any actions that may displease them!”

Estelle nodded.

“Estelle, you’ll be working with Susan, responsible for room 8807 today. If you have any questions, ask

Susan.” After giving instructions, Mamie said to Susan, “Estelle is new, help her out!”

A girl named Melody immediately expressed her dissatisfaction, “I’m supposed to be in charge of 8807,

why are you giving the job to Estelle?”

Mamie calmly replied, “It’s pretty ordinary to shuffle staff around, what’s so strange about that?”

Melody glanced at Estelle, didn’t say anything, and left the room.

After Mamie departed, the rest of the team proceeded to inspect the rooms. Once they had completed

their tasks, they reconvened in the break room. Melody’s attention was drawn to an additional sports

jacket in the wardrobe, prompting her to inquire loudly, “Whose clothing is this?”

Despite the silence that followed, everyone present was aware that the jacket belonged to Estelle.

Melody took the jacket out, mocking Estelle in a derisive tone, “Did you purchase this from a street

vendor? These cheap clothes are not worthy of being in the same wardrobe as mine; they lower my

standards!” She then callously tossed Estelle’s jacket onto the floor.

Just then, Estelle walked in and coldly asked, “Why did you throw my clothes?”

Melody sneered, “Oh, it’s yours? I thought it was someone’s trash!”

Estelle snapped, “Pick it up!”

Melody leaned against the wardrobe with her arms crossed, looking arrogantly at Estelle, and said, “I

won’t pick it up. What are you gonna do about it?”

Estelle clenched her fists, ready to hit Melody when Mamie called out from behind, “What’s going on?”

Mamie walked over and looked at both girls, then at the jacket on the floor, “Who threw this?”

Defeated, Melody replied, “I didn’t know it was Estelle’s. I thought it was someone’s garbage.”

Mamie frowned, “Now that you know, pick it up for her!”

Melody reluctantly picked up the jacket and hung it back in the wardrobe.

Mamie scanned the room and reprimanded them, “You’re all friends working on the 8th floor. If anyone

dares to bully the new girl, don’t blame me if I get mad!”

As no one offered a response, Mamie directed her attention towards Estelle and said, “Guests have

arrived in room 8807. Here’s the bill. You and Susan will attend to them.”

Susan took the bill and said indifferently to Estelle, “Follow me!”

Estelle nodded at Mamie before following Susan.

After Mamie departed, Melody’s expression turned cold, her frustration evident. Unable to contain her

anger, she swiftly dialed a number on her phone. As soon as the call connected, she feigned a pitiful

expression and spoke, “Mr. Ladd, have you arrived?”
