Chapter 1074: Severe Hemorrhage
On the other end of the phone, Bonnie fell silent for a few seconds before speaking softly, "If that's the
case, then we should find a suitable place again. But does he know the specific timing?"
"He didn't specify, just mentioned that it would be within the next month or two. Apparently, it was
already in the planning stages before," Yanis replied.
Bonnie was aware of this, but the planning had been stagnant for a while. She hadn't expected the
action to start now, though it wasn't entirely surprising.
Yanis asked, "Do you have any suitable places in mind?"
"I've looked at a few places before, but the rent there might be a bit too high. And if you want to go
along with Phoebe, the price would definitely be higher. We need to think carefully," Bonnie replied.
After listening, Yanis softly said, "Let's discuss this another day when we have time. I think Phoebe's
proposal is actually quite good, and I'm intrigued."
Bonnie didn't oppose the idea, "I think it's a good fit too. When the time comes, I might rely on you guys
to get rich."
Yanis chuckled and replied, "Sure, we'll help you get rich."
Not long after, Yanis heard crying on the other end of the phone-Mles was crying.
"Get some rest and don't stay up too late," Yanis advised in a gentle tone.
"You too, go to bed soon. Goodnight."
"Goodnight."
After hanging up the phone, Yanis settled into a comfortable position in bed. The sound of running
water from the bathroom continued.
Turning over, Yanis still felt wide awake. As she drifted into a drowsy state, her phone on the bedside
suddenly rang.
Startled, Yanis quickly answered the call, "Mitch? What's going on?"
"Yanis, Reed is suddenly experiencing abdominal pain and it seems like she's spotting," Mitch said
urgently.
Upon hearing this, Yanis sat up abruptly, "Are you at home or on your way to the hospital?"
"We're on our way to the hospital. Reed's in a lot of pain, sweating profusely," Mitch replied.
"What about Allan?" Yanis inquired.
"He's busy with work at the company, but he's on his way to the hospital now too."
Yanis got out of bed, "Don't worry for now. I'll contact Dr. Watson and I'll come over shortly."
Not many people knew about Yanis' pregnancy. If Mitch knew, he definitely wouldn't have called her so
late.
When Zane emerged from the bathroom, Yanis had just finished changing.
"Where are you going so late?" Zane walked a few steps to Yanis and helped her adjust her clothes.
"What's happened?"
"Reed is experiencing spotting and severe abdominal pain. They're on their way to the hospital, and I'm
going to check on her," Yanis explained.
Zane listened and said, "I'll go with you."
"Maybe... I could take a cab there myself, and you can rest at home. You've been working so late
today."
Zane couldn't possibly let Yanis go to the hospital alone in the middle of the night. Without a second
thought, he quickly changed his clothes and accompanied Yanis out.
"Don't worry, everything will be fine." Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.
Yanis acknowledged with a nod, though her heart was still anxious.
When they arrived at the hospital, Reed was already undergoing examination in the emergency room.
Dr. Watson's expression wasn't reassuring as she conversed with the nurses.
"Miss Thompson." Dr. Watson finished her conversation and looked at Yanis, speaking in a low voice,
"How is the situation?"
Dr. Watson seemed hesitant to speak, but after a few seconds, she finally said, "Ectopic pregnancy,
severe hemorrhage."
Yanis felt her mind go blank upon hearing those words, "But the previous examinations were normal.
How can this happen?"
Dr. Watson frowned slightly, "Something must have gone wrong in one of the steps. I've sent someone
to investigate. The surgery is currently underway, and I've brought in another specialist due to my
current workload. You don't need to worry about this."
Although Yanis wasn't worried about this particular issue, she was concerned about how to explain
Reed's condition to Mitch and Allan.
Yanis thanked Dr. Watson and turned to walk toward Mitch and Allan.
As Yanis approached, Allan was the first to greet her, "How is she? What did the doctor say?"
Allan fired off three questions in a row, leaving Yanis momentarily unsure of how to respond.
After a brief silence, Yanis finally spoke, "Ectopic pregnancy, severe hemorrhage. She's in surgery
now."
Upon hearing Yanis' words, Allan's face turned pale, and he stood frozen in place, as if struck by a
sudden realization.
In contrast, Mitch's expression was filled with worry. "Yanis, Reed won't be in danger, will she?"
Yanis couldn't give a definite answer. After all, the outcome of severe hemorrhage was uncertain.
As time ticked away, Dr. Watson reappeared, prompting everyone's attention.
Dr. Watson approached them and spoke softly, "Everything is under control now. Once the anesthesia
wears off in about half an hour, we'll transfer her to the recovery room. First, we need to complete the
hospitalization procedures. After that, further observation will be necessary."
The responsibility was then passed on to Allan. Dr. Watson looked at him and asked, "Are you Reed's
boyfriend?"
Still feeling dazed, Allan managed to nod and stammer, "Yes, I am, I'm her boyfriend."
"Come with me. I'll give you some instructions."
Allan nodded and followed Dr. Watson, walking a few steps before glancing back at Mitch.
It was a cautious look-one that expressed a great deal of concern.
Ectopic pregnancy with severe hemorrhage-no one could really be blamed for this situation. Though
Mitch was worried about Reed, he knew that he was even more heartbroken than Allan. So, when Allan
looked back at him, Mitch nodded slightly, indicating that Allan should go speak with Dr. Watson first.
With that, Allan turned and followed Dr. Watson's lead.
As he walked away, Dr. Watson spoke in a hushed tone, "Don't worry. This is an accident. You'll be
able to have more children in the future. It won't have a significant impact."
Allan, who had always been fearless, was clearly nervous now. "Is she... is she in pain?"
Dr. Watson tried to reassure him with a smile, "It's not a big deal. She's been given anesthesia, so she
won't feel anything."
Allan let out a sigh of relief, "She's afraid of pain."
"In that case, you'll have to take good care of her. This situation is quite hard on her body."
Dr. Watson spoke softly.
Allan nodded, "I understand. I'll definitely take very good care of her."
Dr. Watson added, "For the next month, no sexual intercourse is allowed. And be careful with what she
eats-avoid spicy and cold foods. Taking care of her body now will prevent any future health problems."
