Master Odell’s Secret Ex-wife

Chapter 1878

Chapter 1878

Chapter 1878 Caprice shot a curious glance at Freya. “Frey, what’s with the two hundred dollars?”

Freya informed her, “The store manager told me to give it to you as a thank-you for drawing so many customers to the cafe today.”

Caprice smiled. “Okay.”

She took the money without complaint.

Two hundred may not be a life-changing amount but she was still proud of making money for herself. What she did not disclose to Freya was that she was one of the shareholders of the cafe.

Over the next few days, Caprice went to the dessert cafe with Freya every day.Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

The store manager decided to hire her to dress up as Lady Leisha every day to help attract customers. All she had to do was wear the outfit for three hours a day and she would be paid two hundred dollars for her time.

Since Caprice had nothing else to do with her time, she readily agreed.

Aweek passed in the blink of an eye.

It was Friday night.

After leaving the dessert cafe, Caprice treated Freya to a feast with the money she made during the week. After their meal, they cycled back to the dormitory together.

When they arrived at the gate, they saw Moses.

He was wearing a white shirt paired with leather pants and was leaning against a tree. He looked dashing as usual with the evening glow outlining the silhouette of his body.

Caprice asked suspiciously, “Moses, why are you here?”

Moses turned to her with a spark in his eyes. “Where were you? You came home later than | expected.”

“We just finished our shift at our part-time job and went to get dinner.”

Moses observed the heavy makeup on her face and asked curiously, “What kind of part-time job have you taken up?” Caprice answered, “I dressed up as Lady Leisha, she’s sort of a mascot at the dessert cafe Frey works at.”

Dessert cafe? Lady Leisha?

Moses was very confused. Just as he was about to say something, they heard a terrific rumble somewhere close by. It was the bellowing roar of a blue sportscar. It screeched to a stop in front of them.

After the sportscar stopped, it was Piper who emerged from the passenger seat. Another figure stepped out of the driver seat. It was a young man wearing a pair of sunglasses, strapped in a dungaree and a pair of shiny leather boots.

The immediate impression he gave off was one of a hooligan.

Caprice almost recoiled from disgust.

Freya was so horrified by the sight of the man that she could not find her voice. Moses frowned disapprovingly.

Piper greeted them enthusiastically, “Caprice, Frey, it’s me!”

Caprice and Freya snapped back to their senses.

Freya ran to Piper and threw her arm’s tightly around her.

The young man approached Caprice, his voice was obnoxious. “Caprice, long time no see, do you miss me?” Caprice scowled. “Trey, what's with the getup?”

The last time she saw him, he was already dressed like a cowboy, but his demeanor then was nowhere near as obnoxious as he was now.

Trey took off his glasses and asked in a distraught voice, “What? Don’t | look cool?” Caprice frowned and preferred to not respond, but her face said it all.

Trey ruffled his hair dejectedly. “Fine, fine. | won’t wear this next time.”

“Here, | bought a gift for you.” He produced a small, intricate box from his pocket.

Caprice did not want it, but she knew that he would whine incessantly if she refused it. With that in mind, she took it and thanked him stiffly, “Thanks.”

“Try to be more enthusiastic next time.” He quipped before turning to Moses. “Who's this?” Caprice introduced Moses. “His name is Moses Stewart, he’s our senior.”

She turned to Moses. “Moses, this is Trey. He’s Piper’s brother and a friend of mine.”
