Mistake with the Alpha

That man still ignored me. Today he was like a different person. I looked and saw Sally approach. The poor woman seems like she wants to cry. The insane Allison came too and I felt this bitterness in me. The right one is suffering while the wrong one is walking about in glory. I just wish I could tell everyone who the imposter is. It is so painful to see the innocent girl suffer. "Go call me Jaylen, he needs to hear the truth himself!" He said to no one precisely.

"You have to do this yourself. Don't you involve my son" I shouted at him.

He looked at me with those scary angry eyes. He's an Alpha wolf and I know how brutal they can be when angry. I moved back and went to meet Sally.

I wish Jaylen would refuse to come. I know then he won't make any decision without him there. But my prayer wasn't answered because Jaylen showed up.

"What the heck is going on!" We heard him growl.

People parted for him to come to the middle. Looking at the look on his face when he saw who was in the middle, he was quite taken aback and the next minute angry.

"I demand an explanation, dad," he said.

"I'm here to reveal a secret here son" my husband said quickly.

We watched as Jaylen told him that it should be settled in his office but then my husband refused. He said he wants it settled there. They were still on that when the lycan Prince who came to visit the pack joined the gathering.

It was quite obvious that Jaylen never liked this Prince but then my husband chose to make him decide what will happen. All through I could see anger and pain on Jaylen's face.

What surprised me the most is Sam. She didn't even shed a tear. Even when those witnesses came to testify against her. One even claimed to be Sam's mate. I pitied the poor girl so much. If I was a genie I would have made all these to stop.

At the end of everything, the lycan Prince told Jaylen that he would be the one to make the decision. I was happy because I knew Jaylen wouldn't hurt his woman. But then Jaylen shocked me because he made the worst decision. I didn't even think he would do such a thing to Sam. The woman he loves. He sent Sam to the hade's prison. That's like a death warrant. That place alone smell like death itself.

I was so sad. I didn't know why Jaylen believed them. Although their witness is quite convincing, he should have known that Sam isn't such a girl.

"Jaylen I have to speak with you" I said to him when I saw that he was done.

I wouldn't watch him punish the innocent.

"I'm not interested," he said and then walked away.

I know he was pained. Looking at my husband, I saw shock in his eyes. He sure didn't know that Jaylen would say such a thing. He gave me a sober look.

"Satisfied?" I asked with a stiff angry smile.

"Cleo" he called me but then I chose to walk away.

He ran after me but then I didn't listen. I just entered my car and drove off. I went home crying. This is all my fault. I should have taken Sam far away from all these people. I wept badly. Getting home, I met my husband in the living room. With his state of dressing, I knew he ran in his wolf form.

"Sweetheart, please talk to me," he said softly.

He tried to reach out to me but then I yanked his hand off me.

"Don't you dare touch me. You should be jubilating right now" I shouted.

I then ran upstairs. While I drove home, I was determined to find a way to punish my husband. I called Jaylen and asked to borrow a room in his house for a while. He then agreed without hesitation. I'm not going to stay with a man who wouldn't think of the effect of what he wants to do on his family.

I started to pack a few necessary things. I heard Gerard making calls down stairs. By the time I got to the edge of the stairs, he was pacing. I don't know who he was talking to but then he seemed unhappy. He noticed me and then looked at me.

I dragged my luggage box down and that was when he ran to me.

"What are you doing?" He asked anxiously.

"What do you think?" I asked.

"Please, Cleo, don't do this to me. Not because of this small issue. You can't leave Cleo," he said.

His eyes were full of pain but then I made up my mind. I love my husband but then I won't be a partaker in doing evil.

"You can't leave me for being a protective father. I was only protecting my son" he cried out.

"By disgracing the son? Do you know how many packs would have heard of what happened today? You ridiculed Jaylen with your stupid actions. Did you think you were the only one who wanted to protect him? I knew, but then I talked to him, but then you came and ruined all the plans. You should be super satisfied that he's sentenced her to death," I said with hostility.

"No I'm not. I didn't know he was going to do that. I just wanted the girl to let him be. Please, Cleo, don't leave. I promise to talk to Jaylen to set the girl free. Please, I'm begging you not to go," he cried.

"You can bring Omar here since he's now your priority," I said and started to leave.

But then he wouldn't let me. He held my box with all his strength.

"I'm begging you not to go".

When I saw that he wasn't ready to let go of my box, I left it with him and ran off. Since I have my card with me, I can get new things. Before he could catch up with me, I shifted and ran off. I didn't stop running until I discovered he isn't following me anymore. I stopped and shifted back. I was naked and I couldn't go further.
