Chapter 646 Go Easy on Me

At the sound of the familiar voice behind him, Alexander's whole frame stiffened.

A few seconds later, Alexander turned around. His eyes widened after he confirmed that the person in

front of him was Jake. "Why are you back?"

Jake was wearing a suit, carrying the groceries he had just bought from the supermarket. "Fulfill the

duty to your grandma for you."

Alexander froze. Then he came a few paces up to Jake and elbowed Jake in the arm. "You're so kind

to me."

Jake lowered his eyes. Obviously his eyes were full of concern, but he pretended to be disgusted. "Get

away from me. When's the last time you showered?"

Hearing Jake's words, Alexander raised his hand and sniffed his clothes. "Does it smell bad? It

shouldn't be!"

Jake reached out his free hand and pushed Alexander on the forehead, pushing Alexander back.

Alexander asked, "Do I really smell this bad?"

Jake put on a false smile. "I can even smell it from here."

When Jake finished his words, Alexander took two steps forward to approach Faye. "Do I really stink?"

Faye chuckled. "I can't smell it."

Alexander tried to lean forward. "Smell it again."

Alexander said as he moved closer to Faye. He was halfway there when Jake grabbed him by the

collar.

Alexander frowned and turned his head. "What are you doing?"

Jake said, "You're risking your neck."

Alexander looked confused. "Huh?"

"Colin."

Alexander shuddered at the word and understood at once.

Seeing this, Jake sneered. "Are you still gonna let Faye smell you?"

Alexander glared at Jake. "Of course not. We shouldn't get so close to each other."

After more than ten minutes, the three took the elevator upstairs.

Alexander's grandmother was old and her ears were not good. She was making noodles in the kitchen.

Jake took off his coat first when he entered Alexander's home, and then he came into the kitchen with

the groceries he bought. "Grandma, I'll cook the dishes later."

Alexander's grandmother smiled kindly. "Leave it with me. You just came back and need to have a

rest."

"I'm not tired."

With that, Jake unbuttoned his shirt cuffs and rolled them up a bit. He began to trim vegetables for

cooking and wash them carefully.

Alexander and Faye stood at the entrance. She covered for him. He turned and slipped into the

bathroom.

Seeing Alexander close the bathroom door, Faye stepped into the kitchen.

Alexander's grandmother was hard of hearing, so she didn't know Faye had come in until she saw

Faye.

Alexander's grandmother's eyes squinted to accommodate her smile. "When did you get here?"

Faye responded with a smile, "I came in with Jake."

Alexander's grandmother kindly reached out her hand to take Faye's. As she was about to touch

Faye's hand, she suddenly realized that she still had flour on it, so she quickly pulled it back.

Seeing this, Faye took the initiative to hold her hand and took her arm. "Grandma, I want to eat two

bowls of noodles later."

Alexander's grandmother was grinning from ear to ear. "Two bowls is not enough. You should eat

more."

Jake was a good cook. Faye didn't have to do anything in the kitchen with him around.

Faye chatted with Alexander's grandmother in the kitchen for a while. Then Alexander's grandmother

pushed Faye out of the kitchen and stuffed a carton of yogurt into her arms.

"Go sit on the sofa and drink it."

Faye smiled. "Okay."

Faye walked to the sofa with the yogurt and sat down. She looked around, and finally she fixed her

eyes on Alexander's grandmother in the kitchen. The corners of Faye's mouth curved upwards.

In the past few years, Alexander's grandmother had made Faye feel a warmth that was rare.

Faye was looking at Alexander's grandmother in a trance. Alexander came out of the bathroom after

washing up. He stepped over to the armrest of the sofa beside Faye and sat down. He said as he

wiped his wet hair. "What are you looking at?"

"Your grandma."

"I thought you were looking at Jake."

Faye raised her head. "Why should I look at him?"

Alexander glanced at the kitchen and said in a low voice, "I used to look down on Jake. Now I find that

he is sophisticated at work and good at housework. Besides, he is also very loyal to his friends."

Faye smiled. "And then?"

Alexander said calmly, wiping his hair, "That's it."

"Oh? Is that so?"

"What do you mean?"

Then Faye chuckled to herself. She was about to answer Alexander when the phone in her pocket

rang.

Faye retracted her gaze. She took her phone out of her pocket and scanned its screen. Seeing the

name on the screen read "Colin", she pressed the answer button.

The call was connected. Before Faye could speak, Colin on the other end of the phone spoke first,

"Honey, have you picked Alexander up?"

"Yes."

"Are you at Alexander's house?"

"Yeah."

Colin smiled and said in a low voice, "I have bought something for Alexander's grandmother, and I will

be there soon."

Hearing Colin's words, Faye paused and said, "Call me when you get here. I'll come downstairs and

pick you up."

"Okay. Thank you, sweetie."

Faye was lost for words.

Colin's behavior was a good proof of the slang "Give someone an inch and he'll take a mile."

After ending the call with Colin, Faye tilted her head to look at Alexander. "Colin will be here later."

Alexander and Colin were already well acquainted, so he nodded. "Should I pick him up?"

"No, I'll go."

About half an hour later, Faye got a call from Colin.

Faye pressed the answer button, got up and walked out the door. "Did you get here?"

"I'm already downstairs."

"I'll come down immediately."

Faye cut off the phone and took the elevator downstairs.

As soon as she got out of the elevator, she saw Colin standing in the hallway, and Andy behind him NôvelDrama.Org owns this.

carrying a lot of things.

Seeing Faye, Colin turned to look at Andy. "Andy, take the things upstairs first."

Andy responded, "Okay, Mr. Farrell."

Faye reminded, "On the 13th floor. The door is not closed."

Andy nodded and carried the things into the elevator.

When the elevator door was closed, Colin strode up to Faye. He lowered his eyes to meet hers, and

asked in a low voice, "Has your anger melted?"

Faye was not good at lying, and she didn't want to lie in front of Colin. "No."

Colin compressed his lips slightly. He stretched out his arms to hug Faye and then kissed her hair. "You

hold back your anger when you were so mad, so it must have been hard for you."

Colin continued, "Faye, this is the first time I am a husband to someone, and I want to do the best I

can, but I always do bad things with good intentions. I'm stupid. I'm not smart enough. If I do something

wrong, can you go easy on me?"
