Chapter 647 Sincerity
Colin spoke with extraordinary sincerity.
Faye could hear that he was truly remorseful. She allowed herself to be held in his arms and she said
nothing.
Then Colin leaned over slightly and pressed his jaw against Faye's shoulder. He said in a muffled
voice, "Honey, trust me one more time. Just one more time."
Faye didn't answer him and changed the subject calmly, "Go to eat first."
"Okay."
Except for Colin and Faye, everyone else ate the meal in perfect harmony.
Alexander was a chatterbox and he kept chattering.
At the beginning, Alexander's grandmother complained that Alexander only worked and didn't go home
or call home. Later, she was all smiles.
Obviously, Alexander's grandmother was really happy to see so many young people here.
After the meal, Jake went to the kitchen to wash the dishes, and Andy followed him in to help.
Jake stood in front of the kitchen sink, wearing an apron that didn't fit. He looked at Andy with a faint
smile. "I don't need any help."
Andy had an impassive face. "I can help you put the bowls in the cupboard."
Looking at Andy's unsmiling appearance, Jake quipped, "Dude, you don't have a girlfriend, do you?"
"It's none of your business."
"You're cold in manner. What kind of girl would want to be with you?"
Andy looked at Jake. "Do you have a girlfriend?"
It was rare for Andy to talk much, which made Jake stunned.
Before Jake could speak, Andy said coldly, "Girls don't want smooth-talking men, either."
Jake laughed out loud at the words.
Alexander's grandmother went back to her room to rest. Colin, Faye and Alexander were in the living
room.
Colin took a check out of his pocket, placed it on the tea table, and pushed it toward Alexander with his
fingertips.
When Alexander saw this, he was a sort of shocked. Then he returned the check and scratched his
head. "Colin, what do you take me for?"
Colin gave Alexander a quick smile. "This is a normal process. The company will also compensate
other executives if they are framed."
Alexander didn't believe it. "Really?"
"Yeah. If you don't believe it, you can ask Faye."
Then Alexander turned his head to look at Faye.
Catching Alexander's inquiring eye, Faye responded, "It's true."
Colin was lying, and Faye was patching up his lie.
There was no compensation for executives of the Farrell Media.
In the business world run by capitalists, if one went wrong, it was because of his own incompetence.
The business world was like a battlefield. There was no sympathy for a weak.
Hearing Faye's words, Alexander's mouth twitched into a slight smile. "I didn't know there was such a
good thing. If I had known this, I should have stayed in jail for two more days."
When Alexander finished speaking, Colin reached over and slapped the back of his head.
Alexander laughed, clutching the spot where Colin had slapped him. "I'm just saying. How could that be
true?"
It was already afternoon when they came out of the apartment complex where Alexander lived.
Andy drove the car. Colin and Faye sat in the back seats. Though they held hands, they said nothing.
Andy was not like Robert and Lance. He was not talkative, so he was not at all uncomfortable with such
a heavy atmosphere.
When the car arrived at Fennth Community. Andy stopped the car. Colin and Faye got off the car on
the left and the right. Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.
After entering the living room, Faye was bending over to change her shoes. At this time, Colin clenched
his jaw, and went straight in to turn on the TV.
Before Faye could react, Colin took off his coat and threw it aside. He put the remote control on the
ground and knelt on it.
Faye's hand on the foyer counter curled slightly after she saw Colin's movements.
Colin knelt very cautiously still. He grabbed his tie around his neck with one hand and pulled it down.
Faye said, "Cindy is still here."
Colin responded, "I have to learn my lesson."
