“Fuck it, dude. Look at my face now?” Grant’s voice was filled with madness while he stood in front of the mirror and stared at his reflection. They just finished sparing, and Helios was really in a rage, making him punch Grant’s face with anger. As for Grant, he didn’t dodge and received Helios’s strength, leaving a cut and bruises on his face. “Fuck! You can punch my body, but why my face?!” he yelled as he faced Helios. Helios arched his brow as he drank a bottle of water, taking it in one gulp. “Damn it. My chicks will—” “Shut up, fucker. Just fuck your informant,” Helios said as he threw the bottle in the bin. He grabbed the white towel at the side of the ring and wiped his hair. Grant gestured a punch in the air while Helios’ back was facing him. And when Helios turned to face him, Grant whistled and walked towards the bench. He was about to grab the bottle of water when the phone on the top of his sports bag vibrated. He frowned as he reached for it. It was an unknown number. “What?” Cindy, who’s the caller on the other line, frowned, and anger started to register inside her heart. “Why are you being rude, Grant Lincoln?!” she yelled and made sure that it would ruin Grant’s eardrum. She heard how Grant uttered a curse. “What do you want?” Grant asked, his voice a little bit pissed off. Cindy arched her brow as she met Zoe’s gaze. Zoe gave her an inquiry look. “Where are you?” Grant formed a sly smirk on his lips. He looked at Helios, who was now changing his clothes. “Why are you asking about it?” Grant asked, still the snide remaining on his lips. Helios frowned because of it. He walked closer to Grant and grabbed the phone suddenly.
Grant was about to dash over him when Helios gave the phone back, but this time, the call was in loudspeaker mode. Grant’s forehead knitted. “Hey, Lincoln!” Cindy’s voice ruined the silence between Grant and Helios. Helios frowned. “What?” Grant asked. “Zoe is pregnant—” “Cindy!” It was Zoe’s voice that interrupted Cindy’s. The two men on the other line fell into silence. Zoe grabbed Cindy’s phone and turned it off. “Are you insane?” she asked; her heart began to thump fast. “What if he will tell it to Helios directly?” Cindy rolled her eyes. “Then… it’s better,” she replied. Zoe wanted to burst into crying. Cindy couldn’t understand her situation. “Let me think about it first. I told you to call Grant to ask when he will be available, not to tell him the sudden truth.” Cindy scoffed. “Zoe, it’s just the same. Stop being an overthinker whatsoever. Let’s wait for him to call back again,” she said. Zoe shook her head. “I don’t trust Grant, Cindy. And I really have a bad feeling about this.” Cindy sighed as she stood up. She grabbed her bag from the side and wore it. “I’m already tired of giving you words of encouragement. You’re getting on my nerves, Zoe. You’re a coward. Weakness will lead you to death. Trust me.” Zoe was surprised by Cindy’s words, and it hit her heart big time. However, her friend was right. “But you know my situation—” “Oh, please, Zoe. I heard enough. I’m sorry if you missed this chance, but I did my best to help you. If you fail to get your right, then it will be your fault. Geez, you love each other; why not fucking fight for it? You’re getting insane, Zoe. I hate weaklings,” Cindy said and left Zoe dumbfounded. It’s a little bit hard for Cindy to encourage Zoe. yet Zoe is letting the negativity in her system. ON the other side, Grant and Helios remained silent not until it was Grant who broke it first. “Fuck that woman—” “Let’s get in there,” Helios cut off the hum of Grant’s words. Grant stood up and frowned. “What are you trying to do?” Helios clenched his fist. “I will get what’s mine. It’s time—” “No!” Grant yelled. “This will only cause chaos and war against your father. Get engaged. Get the title, then after that, break the rule,” Grant said. Helios met his gaze and frowned. At this moment, he knew that Grant’s advice was the right thing to do.
