Super Mommy and Her Triplets

Chapter 125

Chapter 125

Veronique instantly stopped in her tracks.

She didn't turn around, but her body was trembling violently.

Her father's words were like a knife that had pierced into her heart painfully.

Am I satisfied? Of course, I'm not!

It was utterly saddening to hear her own son address her as “Aunt.”

Bill walked over to her and reached out to hold her shoulder. With a soft voice, he said, “You love Zephyr. All of us do. That kid has an amazing gift for medicine. If he were to...” He paused for a moment before continuing, “It would be such a shame. Vero, tell me. Who is that man? Only he can save Zephyr now.”

Hesitation flashed across Veronique's eyes.

In an instant, she seemed to have remembered something, for her gaze became determined.

“I will do my best to save Zephyr. If, in the end, I am not able to save him, I will die with him. I really don't know who the father is,” she said, her voice unfaltering.

A look of pain flashed across Bill's eyes as he gripped tightly onto his daughter's shoulder.

However, when he met Veronique's determined gaze, he let go of her.

“Fine. You don't even care about your own son's life, so what can I, as a granddad, do?”

Veronique took a deep breath and walked out of the room.

She had decided to take that secret to the grave.

Back then, Veronique loved him wholeheartedly, but her affection was one-sided. He had never even glanced properly at her. He even had a fiancée.

This was her final shred of dignity. Even if her child was on the brink of death, she would hold steadfast to it.

Veronique didn't want to put him in a predicament, and she didn't want him to think that she had snatched Zephyr away from him.

Meanwhile, in Luther Group, Dwayne and Jessica walked into the lead designer's office.

Bailey looked up from her stack of files. When she noticed them, she quirked an eyebrow and asked, “How do you have the time to saunter around my office, disciple?”

Fury swelled in Jessica, but she suppressed it.

She would always get annoyed every time she saw Bailey.

Dwayne noticed the fiery atmosphere between the two. He quickly walked in between them for fear of them getting into a fight and tearing the office apart. “I invited Ms. Tanner here to discuss the

partnership with LG Corporation with you,” he said with a smile.

LG Corporation? Partnership?

Bailey narrowed her eyes at that.

If it were any other enterprise, she naturally would not pay much attention to it. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

However, it was LG Corporation.

It was a multinational enterprise and was headed by Lionel.

Lionel.

He was Victoria's most painful scar.

“Oh? Tell me about it,” Bailey said.

Dwayne passed a file over to her. “Have a look at the documents. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.” He smiled.

Bailey lifted an eyebrow and took the file. However, she did not bother looking through it and instead smiled back at Dwayne. “This is a lot of documents, and I'll probably take half a day just to go through them. In order to not waste each other's time, please roughly explain it to me,” she said in a joking tone.

“All right.” Dwayne took a moment to organize his words before speaking, “LG Corporation is a film and

production company. It has taken nearly one-third of the entire world's advertising resources. They own many famous international media companies as well.”

At that, Bailey tapped her desk with her fingers. “I know. Get to the point,” she interrupted.

Dwayne scratched his nose awkwardly.

In some aspects, Bailey was just the same as Artemis.

These two were definitely made for each other.

It was now up to fate to bring them together.

Artemis seemed like he was going to pursue her no matter what. Regardless, Dwayne hoped that Artemis would succeed.

“Luther Group's latest clothing brand will need to be introduced to the market soon. The fastest and most effective way will be to work with LG Corporation and make use of their extensive advertising resources to let the public know of Luther Group's newest clothing brand.”

Bailey instantly understood what he explained.

Artemis wanted to get help from LG Corporation's advertising and media companies to introduce the newest clothing line to the public.

However, this should have been handed over to the public relations department instead of her.

Hold on.

Dwayne had not revealed if Bailey was in charge of it yet.

Therefore, Bailey pointed at herself and asked tentatively, “Am I in charge of this?”

Before Dwayne could even reply, Jessica interrupted from the side, “Do you think it's easy to be the lead designer of Luther Group? This is a test given to you by the company. Prepare to leave the company if you dare to fail.”

Bailey smirked at what Jessica said.

What a heated response. It's as if you're afraid that I'll reject it. There seems to be something hidden behind this.

It had always been clear that Jessica wanted Bailey to fail.

However, she wasn't able to bring Bailey down in other aspects. As of now, the only thing Jessica could do is damage Bailey's reputation in the marketplace.

This collaboration might even be a hole that Jessica had dug. She was probably waiting for Bailey to take the bait and jump into the hole.

How persistent. Bailey had already shown Jessica mercy on behalf of Eve. Nevertheless, Jessica still did not try to change.

It seemed that there was no need for Bailey to do the same the next time Jessica tried to bring her

down.

“Mr. Derning, is this approved by Mr. Luther? Does he want me to be in charge of this partnership?”

Dwayne nodded. He then thought of something and shook his head. “Quentin was originally in charge of this, but LG Corporation wanted you to take over instead. Mr. Longman had been discussing this with LG Corporation's personnel in charge of the partnership for two days but to no avail. It was only then that Mr. Luther appointed you to be in charge.”

“All right.” Bailey snapped her fingers. “I'll accept it.”

She wanted to see if Jessica had thought of more creative ways to ruin her reputation and chase her out of Hallsbay.

According to Bailey's speculations, the other party should have been ordered to deliberately cause trouble.

Regardless, time would tell who was the one who gave the orders.

When Jessica saw that Bailey had accepted it, a malicious glint flashed across her eyes.

I don't believe that I won't be able to get rid of you.

At two in the afternoon the next day, Chivers Group organized a press conference to announce Glen's condition to the public.

Both Yoel and Edmund solemnly bowed in front of everyone.

“My grandfather's illness is worsening. The Chiverses hereby announce that whichever doctor can operate the surgery will be greatly honored by us. We will also fund all further research and development projects,” announced Edmund.

The moment Edmund's announcement was released to the public, many brilliant neurosurgeons from all around the world rushed to Hallsbay.

Putting aside the fact that they would be able to receive funds for all future research and development projects, being seen as an honorable guest by the Chiverses was more than enough to motivate many to try.

Of course, when they found out that Glen's tumor was growing on his central nervous system, most of them gave up immediately.
