Chapter 320
Chapter 320
Coleen chuckled, looking at her husband and said, "I thought I heard a familiar voice today and I
thought I was hallucinating. Turns out it was Mia calling me."
Molly looked at her mom with worried expressions, "Mom, so you did go to the hospital today. What
happened? The more you hide, the more worried I get. I can't eat, can't sleep, and can't concentrate in
class."
Coleen gently pinched her daughter's cheek, "If you can't eat, will you still get chubby?"
"Mom!"
Coleen stopped teasing her daughter and finally told the truth, "I'm fine. It's just that some of my test
results were slightly concerning, but some meds will bring them down. The doctor said it's nothing
serious. I went to the hospital today and also visited a patient. Got a call from the company so I had to
leave in a rush. Didn't see Mia."
After speaking, Mr. Kendrick took out their medical results for their daughter to see, "See, your mom
and I are really not sick."
Even though Molly didn't understand, she still sat on the couch seriously looking at it on her phone.
Any abnormal data would be marked with an arrow, and anything she didn't understand she would look
up on her phone. Molly had never been this serious before; she wanted to thoroughly investigate every
abnormality.
Seeing that it was late, Coleen called for her daughter to go upstairs to rest.
"You guys sleep first, I want to check my dad's results as well."
As the two of them went upstairs, Mr. Kendrick asked, "What time is your class tomorrow? Chad's not
home. We'll take you to school."
Molly looked up and said, "Class starts at eight in the morning, let's go out for coffee in the morning?"
"Alright, after you finish, go to sleep."
They looked at their serious daughter with warmth in their hearts. After reminding her to rest early, they
went upstairs.
Molly checked until eleven on her phone before calming down. She also sent Chad a message
summarizing her parents' health condition. Chad immediately called back and they started chatting on
the phone.
When Mia got home, Andre sat on the couch and made her some water to drink. She snuggled into her
husband's arms, held his face with both hands, looked at his handsome face, and gave him several
kisses.
Andre's gazes started to look a bit off.
Mia noticed too. She tried to run after flirting with him, but her waist was tightly held by his arm, pulling
her back into his embrace. Andre looked down at his soft wife, "Where do you think you're going?"
After saying that, he held the back of her head, leaning in for a deep kiss.
Ten minutes later, the sound of water coming from the bathroom. Mia sipped her water guiltily.
Soon a man wrapped in a bath towel emerged. As Andre dried his hair, Mia gazed at her husband's
muscles. She was salivating at the sight of her husband's physique.
Andre sat down on the couch, and Mia immediately went over to pour him some water, "Honey, you
can't blame me just now. Who's the one with no self-control? Even when holding a pregnant wife you're
still so turned on."
Andre finished the water in one gulp, "Who's the one who voluntarily sat on my lap in the first place?"
Mia replied, "Well if you put it that way, I guess it's my fault. After all, I'm still irresistible even when
pregnant."
Andre had no words to respond.
When it was time to sleep, Mia didn't want to be held. "I'm too irresistible, I'm afraid you can't resist."
Andre grabbed her shoulder, pulling her into his arms, "Come here."
If he let her sleep alone, she would kick the blankets and roll around, even falling off the bed without
him knowing. He'd already used to holding her.
Mia leaned against him, and happily snuggled up to her husband, holding his waist, "Honey, I love you
so much." She nuzzled her head against his chest like a cat.
Andre held her head still, "Stop moving."
"Ticklish?"
"Mhm…"
Mia leaned in, giving his neck another kiss.
Andre was helpless.
The next day, Mia couldn't keep her eyes open in class. Andre could barely wake her up in the
morning. "Mia, time to get up for school."
Mia hid herself in the covers, not showing her face, "Honey, just five more minutes."
Five minutes later, Andre called her again. She continued to burrow deeper into the covers, resisting
getting out of bed.
Finally, Andre pulled her ankles from the foot of the bed, dragging her to the end. He picked her up
from the bed, and only then did Mia wake up.
But when she got to the classroom, she couldn't stop yawning while listening to the professor.
Molly also started yawning.
Leo asked them, "Mia, what did you do last night, why are you so tired?"
Mia replied, "Did something I shouldn't have." She could've had a good night's sleep, but she decided
to kiss her husband's neck, teasing him, and ended up in the bathroom.
Leo asked Molly, "What about you?"
"I talked too much." Molly couldn't remember what time she finished chatting with Chad on the phone
last night.
Meanwhile, in the president's office at Chade Inc., Coleen was looking at some documents when she
heard a knock on the door. Without looking up, she said "Come in."
The door opened and in walked Saul. He was Coleen's nephew, who joined Coleen's company after
graduating from grad school. He started as a basic employee and worked his way up to the position of
marketing manager.
"Coleen, how's your health? My mom asked about you last night."
Coleen smiled and said, "I'm fine."
Saul sat across from Coleen and casually said, "Coleen, if you're really not feeling well, you can hand
over the financial work to me. I'm family, much more trustworthy than outsiders."
Coleen gave a casual smile and said, "The current financial manager has been with me for over twenty
years. She's family to me just like you. In the same company, you're all my colleagues, but she's also a
senior. There should be less suspicion."
Saul was from the marketing department, and he was very good at reading people's expressions.
When he realized Coleen didn't want to discuss the topic any further, he smartly changed the topic and
handed her the planning case, "This is the marketing plan for the next quarter, Coleen, take a look. If
there's no problem, I'll go arrange it."
Coleen took the documents just as her secretary walked in. She told her nephew, "You can go first. I'll
have someone communicate with you after I finish reading."
Saul left.
Coleen slammed shut her planner, leaned back in her chair, massaged her throbbing temples and then
turned to her secretary, "What's up?"
"The bigwigs at Ashford Inc. have sent over an invitation, asking you to grace the grand opening of
their new outlet next week."
Coleen nodded, "When the time comes, give me a nudge, will you?"
The secretary continued, "Ashford Inc. is our rival, you know. They've already popped up 45 branches
nationwide, and they invite you to every single opening. Last time, they stuck you in some corner. WhyAll rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
would you want to go again this time?"
Coleen retorted, "Did you know that the schmuck who stuck me in the corner last time got canned?"
