Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 322

Chapter 322

"Mr. Saul, wanna grab a bite?" Someone called out to him, which made Saul snap out of his thoughts.

He turned his head and replied, "Sure."

Then the two of them headed to the company cafeteria.

In the CEO's office, Molly arrived and headed straight for the rooftop. "Mom, I'm here." Upon entering,

Molly saw that her mom's company's designer was also present.

Coleen was discussing something with the designer, and seeing Molly, she paused. "Molly, come here

and let this lady take your measurements."

Molly walked over. As the designer took her measurements, she asked curiously, "Mom, why am I

getting a custom-made dress?"

Coleen adjusted her daughter's collar, "You're accompanying me to an event next week. It's your first Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.

time in public, so you have to look stunning."

Molly understood. "Why do I have to go?"

"It's time for you to show your face in public. Otherwise, when you take over the company, nobody in

the business world will recognize you."

Molly was silent. Chade Inc. was going to be hers? "Mom, I don't want it."

Coleen gently tapped her forehead, "Silly girl, if you don't want it, it'll just fall to your brother. Your

brother's a cop; he can't run the family business. You can't shirk your responsibility."

Molly pouted. The thought of future responsibilities weighed heavily on her.

Seeing Molly's unhappy expression, Coleen teased, "At this rate, how could you support a man with

your money?"

The designer couldn't help but laugh after taking Molly's measurements, "Is that really what Molly

intends to do?"

Coleen nodded, "Yes, but she's all talk. When it comes to taking over the company, see how upset she

is."

Molly felt being attacked.

While admiring Molly's figure, the designer complimented, "Molly has such a good figure, even better

than my models."

"If I model for you, will you pay me?"

The designer chuckled, "I would, but I can't afford you."

After the designer left, Coleen and Molly ate lunch on the office desk. The thought of running a

company frightened Molly.

Coleen later said, "Is it okay if I do not pressure you until you graduate?"

"Absolutely." Molly brightened up.

After lunch, she napped on her mom's couch. Close to class time, Coleen had her secretary take Molly

back to school.

When Mia learned that her best friend was attending an event next week, she repeatedly warned her

not to drink as an experienced person. She said, "You never know what you'll turn into when you're

drunk."

"Mia, have you ever been drunk?" Molly asked.

Remembering her own experiences, Mia shook her head without hesitation, "No."

"I don't believe you."

Mia cautioned, "Don't drink anything that looks like juice. It could be hard liquor."

"You've definitely been drunk before." Molly was very certain.

Leo chimed in, "That does sound like something someone with experience would say."

Mia decided to stay silent and say no more.

Saul returned to the company. Molly usually only liked spending money and seldom came to the

company. The last time she came to the company was to complete an essay that required a business

analysis, so she brought her homework with her.

Why did she come again today at noon?

He went upstairs, under the pretext of needing an event proposal, and inquired about the reason for

Molly's visit. "Coleen, I saw Molly earlier. Is she okay?" he asked.

Coleen answered, "Yeah, she just came to have lunch with me. Do you need anything?"

"Well, about next quarter's event proposal, how’s it going?" he asked.

Coleen handed him the document, "I've marked the issues. You need to revise it. The company is only

allocating $300,000 for this promotion. You need to cut back on some of the larger expenses and show

it to me again."

Saul frowned, "Coleen, wasn't it $500,000 last year?"

Coleen raised an eyebrow, "So you can't do it because the budget's smaller?"

"No, that's not it. I understand." Saul took the document and left the CEO's office with a troubled

expression.

His trip upstairs didn't clarify why Molly was there. Instead, he was held up by Coleen and the

promotional budget was significantly reduced. Last year, he managed to get a cut. But with this year's

$300,000, how much could he get?

When Saul got home from work, he talked to his mother, Rose, about the company.

Upon hearing this, Rose asked, "How much can you get this year?"

"I wouldn't dare take more than $30,000," Saul answered.

Rose said, "Last year you took $80,000. Is the company running out of money? Is that why they're

cutting costs?"

Saul shook his head, "Coleen's company makes billions in net profit every year, and she has other

investments. She earns a billion a year easily. There's no way she's out of money."

"Why is she doing this then?" Rose asked.

Neither of them understood.

In the evening, as Coleen was preparing to sleep, she got a call from Rose.

Coleen gestured to her husband, "Look, she's calling."

She answered the phone, "Hello, Rose?"

Rose said, "Coleen, I have a favor to ask. Could you allocate more funds to Saul's marketing plan for

next quarter? He's been working late nights to come up with this proposal, but there are a lot of

financial restrictions. He's been losing sleep over this, and if it continues, his health will suffer." Rose

looked at her son next to her, making him sound pitiful.

Coleen chuckled, "The company's decisions are made by the board of directors. I can't make them

alone. If Saul can't handle his job, someone else will."

"But...you're Saul's aunt." Rose said.

Coleen responded, "I'll give Saul a work subsidy. It's late now, sister. You should get some rest early."

After saying that, Coleen hung up. She angrily threw her phone on the table, "I'd like to see who dares

to take money from the marketing plan this year."

"Look at you, getting angry again. I guess I'll have to hang a sign in our bedroom. Coleen, maintain a

good mood every day."

Coleen had been talking work with her husband a lot lately. "Today, our daughter came to see me and

Saul saw her. Then he came asking me about it in the afternoon. I've really been way too lenient with

him recently."

"Don't let our daughter find out about this. If Molly knew about Saul's antics at the company, she'd likely

show up with a fruit knife."

......

Ashford Inc.'s grand opening was scheduled right on a Saturday. On Friday night, Molly was picked up

by Chad and brought home.

Coleen also returned home with her gown. It was a pink princess dress. The dress design took cues

from aristocratic attire, with a slight puff to it. There were two embellishments on the shoulders that

resembled feathers.

Coleen went to the bedroom with her daughter to help her change into the gown. She wouldn't be able

to manage such a complex dress on her own.

"Mom, there are no straps."

"It's a strapless style."

Then Molly said, "My bra straps are showing."

Coleen felt a bit awkward, "I'll get you some nipple covers, silly girl."

Coleen realized she needed to take her daughter to more banquets in the future. While her daughter

seemed quite sharp, she was a bit clueless at times.
