Hearing Mia’s words, Andre’s smile deepened. “Well, I’ll give you more pocket money to spend.”

Suddenly, Mia remembered that she didn’t change her outfit just to show off. So, she quickly let go of

her husband and went out to find the gift he had specially brought for her.

“This handbag matches this dress perfectly. It looks so luxurious. Now that I’ve put on weight, scarves

don’t suit me anymore. So, I’ll leave it with the handbag.” Mia stood in the living room, holding the

handbag and twirling around. She was seeking Andre’s approval.

Watching her twirling, Andre worried that she might get dizzy and hurried over to her.

Mia said, “It’s not big enough. It’s just for show. If I go shopping with Molly and the baby, this small bag

Andre asked, “Why would you take him shopping?”

A sweet smile appeared on Mia’s face. Then, she ran over and hugged her husband again.

Every day after work, Molly would head straight to her mother Coleen’s office, urging her to finish work

early and visit Chad in the hospital. She even criticized her mother, “Mom, what’s more important?

Money or your son! Stop working! Let’s go see my brother.”

Coleen said, “No need to hurry. Your dad’s already there.”

“My dad is a man. He’s not as careful as women.”

“Even if a man isn’t as careful as a woman, he’s still more meticulous than you.”

Coleen felt her head buzzing from her daughter’s nagging. She shut down her computer and decided

to take Molly to the hospital early. “You’re a working woman now. Get a car and practice driving. Once

you’re familiar with it, it’ll be convenient for you to go anywhere.”

Molly replied, “I will stay at the hospital to take care of my brother tonight. I’ve already packed my face

wash and makeup. I don’t have to work tomorrow, so I’ll spend the weekend at the hospital.”

Coleen continued, “You need to grow up. Learn from your brother and be more mature. Whenever

something happens, you either can’t control your hands or your mouth.”

Molly said, “Mom, should we get a watermelon for my brother?”

Coleen continued, “Next week, you need to go to the training center to help the manager complete this

round of training. Learn from the manager about training knowledge and hospitality.”

“I’ll watch a movie with my brother tonight. Hmm, what should we watch?”

At the hospital, Chad’s colleagues were already there, including Donnie who brought his girlfriend. This

her surprise, his girlfriend was petite. She was dressed adorably, and looked very cute. It was a blouse

tucked into a pleated skirt, which made her look sweet. When Donnie introduced her, he said, “This is

Officer Chad’s sister, Molly.”

“Hello, I’m Stephania.”

Her voice sounded sweet.

Comparing herself to Stephania, Molly felt she was just like a tomboy. Molly greeted her with a smile

and teased Donnie, “Not bad. You’re a lucky man.”

Since there were senior leaders in the room, including Jose and Kaden and leaders from other

departments, Donnie couldn’t embarrasse his mentor. He replied gravely, “I must thank my mentor for

introducing me to Stephania.”

Jose and Kendrick were good friends, so he wouldn’t miss any opportunity to praise Chad, “I heard that

in order to help Donnie with his wedding, their team even held a small meeting to help him solve the

marriage problem.”

Donnie nodded to confirm this.

After praising Chad, Jose started teasing Molly, “Molly, I heard that your brother is always cold to

everyone, except you. Now he’s in the hospital. Are you going to take care of him?”

“Of course, I am. He’s my brother. If I don’t take care of him, wouldn’t I be heartless?”

Chad looked at her, “Oh, you know whether you are heartless or not?”

“Of course, I do. I’ve brought all my toiletries and makeup here and planned to stay here for a long

time, just to show you my love.”

Chad looked at her. Despite the limited movement of his neck, he couldn’t hide his affection for her

from the others in the room, confirming his doting on his sister.

Coleen explained to the people in the room with a smile, “Chad has always doted on his sister. What do

people call it nowadays?”

“Mom, you’re talking about a sister complex.” Molly happily reminded her mother.

Coleen nodded, “Yes, Chad has that.”

Chad didn’t deny it, and everyone in the room laughed.

Everyone already knew that the girl in front of them was from the Cedillo family. Her second brother

was Andre, and her name was Molly. Even so, no one revealed her identity and still treated her as a

daughter of the Byrne family.

As it was getting late, they got up to leave. Kendrick and Coleen went to see them off, leaving just the

siblings in the ward.

Molly made her way to Chad’s bedside table, unzipping her bag and pulling out her toiletries. “I’ll stay

with you tonight.”

Chad moved a little in his bed, eyeing his sister in surprise, “You’re really planning to stay here?”

“Yep, don’t get emotional or start crying. It’s what siblings do.” Molly arranged her makeup neatly on the

table, and then sat on the edge of the bed, grinning at Chad. “Thanks.”

“What???”

In a whimsical tone, Molly thanked him, “Thanks for giving me the chance to look after you. I’ve been

wracking my brain, trying to figure out how to make it up to you. Now here we are. The opportunity has

presented itself.”
