Chapter 106 You Are Jealous
Chapter 106 You Are Jealous
Spencer helped Celine climb to the second floor. When he passed his room, he found it rather silent,
much to his annoyance. But suddenly, it occurred to him that Fiona had an exam tomorrow and hence,
she might have gone to bed a long time ago. He had been expecting to see if she'd get jealous, but
now he realized that he was in fact being stupid for expecting that. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
"Mmph..." Celine leaned on him and groaned, and Spencer quickly dragged her to her room.
He quickly opened the door to her room and switched on the lights. He placed her on the bed, bent
over to remove her high heels and then tucked her into bed.
When he got up to leave, Celine swiftly grabbed his arm.
"Don't go..." Celine was drunk, and she eyed Spencer closely, hoping he wouldn't leave.
He pursed his lips and frowned. "You rest. I can't stay here."
"Can you at least talk to me?" Celine held his arm and sat up. "I just want to talk.
"We'll talk some other day. I have to go and see Fiona," Spencer said.
"Fiona, Fiona, Fiona! Is there nothing else you think about?" Celine screamed. "How can you be so
heartless? I came back after such a long time and you won't even speak to me? So was our
relationship all those years ago a lie?"
"I can't change the past. Don't keep thinking about what's history. You need to find someone else."
"Someone else?" Celine curled her lip. "I lost my virginity to you. No one will want me. Spencer, you
promised you'd stay with me and care for me." Spencer's throat tightened and he couldn't find the
words to say.
Finally, he said, "I'm sorry.
If my apology could help..." Celine laughed as though she were ridiculing herself. "You can leave."
"I will find a good man for you. I promise I will make it up to you." Spencer walked out of the room and
sighed.
'I'm sorry, Celine, If I have to choose between you and Fiona, I will choose her,' he thought.
Fiona tossed and turned in her bed, unable to sleep. She saw Spencer walking Celine to her room but
he hadn't returned in a while. 'What is taking him so long? What are they doing?'
The door opened.
A faint beam of light came through, followed by soft footsteps.
Spencer stayed silent and took off his clothes quickly. Fiona turned to look at him, furious.
Spencer thought the noise would wake her up, so he moved his hands slowly and lightly.
"What took you so long?" she couldn't help but ask.
"Was I too loud? Did I wake you up?" Spencer immediately turned and looked at her.
"Yes," Fiona mumbled.
"Sorry, it was my mistake. I was too noisy." Spencer walked to the bed and slid under the blanket. He
hugged her and kissed her deeply. "Can you accept this apology?"
He slowly moved his hands and touched her body, Fiona's mind was clouded by his movements. When
he finally withdrew his hands, he snapped, "You jerk!"
"Yes, I know!" Spencer got on top of her. "Since you called me that, I have to live up to it." Then, he
started to stroke her skin.
"No!" A shy smile appeared on Fiona's face, but when Spencer slid his hand under her pajamas, she
remembered something and abruptly pushed his hand away. "What were you doing till now?"
Acting as if nothing had happened, he bent over and pressed his lips on hers. "I had a work
assignment. I just came back."
"So you're saying you were on a mission with your sister?" Fiona gave him an icy stare.
Spencer raised his eyebrows in shock. "You heard us come in?"
"Yes." Fiona nodded and turned away. She was having mixed feelings.
"No," Spencer explained hurriedly. "I brought her home because... I saw her drunk at the bar. Two men
were trying to assault her. She is my sister, so I had to bring her home. If you don't believe my words,
you can ask Terence!"
"No!" Fiona pouted and looked away. "I don't care."
"You..." As he started to explain, he recollected Terence's words. His eyes suddenly lit up. "Fiona, are
you jealous?"
"You're asking if I'm jealous? Me?" Fiona asked, suddenly panicking in her heart. 'No! How can I be
jealous? Why am I feeling jealous?'
"Fiona..." Spencer called her name in a low and loving voice. He smiled warmly. "You must be jealous.
I'm so happy, Fiona."
"Why are you happy?" She blushed in embarrassment. "I'm not jealous."
"I can see that you are." Spencer bent down and continued to caress her and stroke her. "She was
drunk, so I took her to her room and rushed back to you immediately. Nothing happened between us!"
When she heard him, Fiona's body stiffened. "Are you sure there's nothing going on between you two?"
Spencer withdrew his hands. Before he could say anything, Fiona asked, "Did you two have sex?"
"What?" Spencer felt his throat drying up.
"You had sex with her!"
The firmness in Fiona's voice broke his heart, and he asked, "How did you know?" His face turned grim
and dark.
"I have eyes, Mr. Cheng. I know that that kind of chemistry doesn't come otherwise." Fiona frowned
and pushed him away.
Spencer moved away and lay down on his side of the bed. He thought for a long time before saying,
"That was ages ago..."
"I'm not interested." Fiona bit her lip and turned the other side. "It's time for me to sleep. I have an
exam tomorrow."
Spencer let out a heavy sigh. "Okay. Let me hug you while you sleep." He moved closer towards her,
spread out his arms and tried to hold her.
"Don't. Don't touch me. You're tainted," Fiona muttered and moved away from him.
Spencer stopped as the word "tainted" kept ringing in his mind. He glanced at Fiona and his expression
shifted from anger to guilt to grief.
He didn't even know he would marry Fiona in the future when he had sex with Celine.
After a while, he mumbled, "If I had known that you would become my wife, I wouldn't have touched
her. It was a mistake I made when I was young. I won't let that happen ever again. Now I just want you,
okay? Fiona, how could you say I'm tainted?
Your first time was with me. I'm glad I was your first... Wait, you kissed Ryan!" He suddenly
remembered the night they had gotten their marriage certificate. He had seen Ryan pull Fiona into his
arms and kiss her. This scene had made Spencer furious! He had taken Fiona way and gotten their
marriage licenses. Then he had had sex with her that night.
The thought made him blush. If he hadn't bullied her then, would they have been happy now? He must
have fallen in love with her that very night.
Spencer whispered to her, "I may not have given you my virginity, but I'll never be with anyone but you
in the future, okay?" He spoke in a soft voice, which was rather unusual for him. "Can I take your
silence as a yes? Hmm?"
When Spencer didn't get an answer for a long time, he turned and saw her peacefully asleep. He
sighed. "Alas! Never mind, just sleep! You've wasted all my efforts!"
He put his arm around her and fell asleep. In his warm arms, Fiona quietly opened her eyes and
sniffed, not knowing how to feel about all of this.
'Spencer, can I believe you?' she wondered to herself.
The next morning, both of them woke up quite early.
"All the best for your exam," Spencer said and kissed her.
Fiona glared at him. "Thanks."
Spencer raised a brow and got dressed. "I'm going back to the base today. I don't know when I'll be
back."
"Yeah, I know." Fiona nodded. "Is George still there? Is he leaving anytime soon?"
Spencer snorted. "You're thinking about George? Well, he'll leave soon!"
Fiona ignored his tantrum and picked up her things. "Please say goodbye to him for me!" As soon as
she was finished, she felt his body pressing against her back.
Spencer hugged her from behind and put his chin on her head. "Well, all right! I'll say goodbye to him
for you! Don't go anywhere while I'm not here. Go to school and head straight back home. Remember
to close the door when you go to bed. And don't talk to strangers. You have to text me every morning
and noon. You should call me every night without fail. No exceptions. Do you understand?"
"I'm not a child. Stop patronizing me."
"You're still acting like a child!" Spencer said, playing with her soft hair.
"Won't that disturb your work?" Fiona murmured, not realizing how unsure they both felt about the
separation.
"No, it won't. If I don't reply, it means I'm busy and I will call you back as soon as I can."
"Understood."
