Chapter 106
Chapter 106
Ryan recalled how, the moment Wyatt boarded the helicopter, he grabbed the unconscious and bloodied Ivy and refused to let go. He even cried silently. Wyatt's army buddies were packed into the helicopter. They were so taken aback by this scene that they were at a loss for words. Jason, one of them, was a military doctor, which was a blessing. After they arrived at the cruise ship, he administered first aid and operated on her. Wyatt observed the entire operation while it was taking place. He didn't blink as he stared at Ivy's face, as if he was afraid, it was all a dream. Wyatt was the most nervous when Jason removed the bullet. His tense face was beaded with sweat, but no one knew whether it was from anger or sadness. Jason smiled coldly and looked at Wyatt after the surgery was finished. "I've never performed such a vexing operation before! You seemed to want to eat me alive every time I made a cut. Would you like to cut me back?" Jason left in a huff as Wyatt glared at him silently with bloodshot eyes. He would have had a falling out with Wyatt if they hadn't had a good relationship! Wyatt had been standing to the side, watching. Ryan had no reason to pursue the person who had saved his sister after what Wyatt had done. Sebastian and Wyatt fought over who would look after Ivy. Wyatt drove Sebastian out every time, relying on his numerical advantage, making him so angry that he cursed profusely. Wyatt's approach to Ivy was only thwarted by Ryan. That was because he knew Wyatt's feelings for Ivy were more profound than anyone could have imagined. Wyatt stood on the deck, a puzzled expression on his face. He held a photograph taken by a passerby on the streets of Europe in his hand. Because he had been pinching it so hard, his fingertips had turned white. Perhaps the photographer kept this scene on the wall of the cafe opposite the underground fight club because it was too shocking. He only had a vague memory of a woman with her back to him, leading him to the large palace-like
gates. The sunlight that pierced through the darkness resurrected him. It was the woman's front side in the photograph. Her beautiful red gown made her appear noble and bright. The darkness behind her, on the other hand, shrouded his back. Wyatt was unconscious and covered in blood behind her, looking as wretched as ever. Despite this, she appeared determined as she led him out of the underground fight club, and each step she took was firm. Wyatt's eyes were shocked and reddened when he saw the image. This woman possessed both bravery and radiance. Did he really know who she was? “Is the person in the picture really Ivy?” His voice was hoarse, mellow, and enthralling. Ryan cast him a sidelong glance. The corners of his lips curled up into a smile with a faint gaze. "Do you wish it was her?" Wyatt's lips were drawn together in a thin line. There were too many questions swirling around in his head. It was a complete disaster. 'What was she doing there? Why was she the one who dragged me out? How come she never mentioned it before?' Wyatt couldn't find an answer, but he seemed to believe that the answer was more important than his life. Ivy's cabin was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and luxurious. As soon as Ivy opened her eyes, she heard Sebastian’s ecstatic cry. "Ivy is awake!!" Ivy felt as if her eardrums were about to burst, but it was also close to her heart. The sunlight streamed in through the window and landed on the floor. From the waves lapping around the ship, drops of water gently tapped the cabin's window. Soft fluffy clouds dotted the sunny blue sky in the distance. It was breathtaking.
Ivy moved her hands gently, which felt clumsy and heavy due to the gauze wrapping. Sebastian sat beside her bed. His eyes were bright red. "Little sis... I've been looking for you at sea for a long time, ever since your plane crashed. I can finally bring you now. I swear I'll buy you whatever you want!" Ivy's lips were hooked. This felt like a beautiful but unrealistic dream, but the strong smell of disinfectant filled her nasal cavity and brought her back to reality. 'I'm still alive! I made it!' She noticed Sebastian' unkempt hair, and that deadly handsome face had become disheveled and haggard. “Then… I'll have to think about it." Ivy laughed. Ivy had never been thrifty with her brother's money. Sebastian kept nodding his head. Someone frantically pushed open the door. “Ivy…” Wyatt's tone was cautious. Ivy was taken aback when she heard the familiar voice. When she looked to the side, she saw that it was indeed Wyatt Reed. When she was on the island, she remembered seeing him walk towards her from the helicopter. Ivy thought it was all a dream, but it turned out to be true! It was surprising that he could get her away from the hail of bullets. She could see the intense emotions welling up in his eyes. She lowered her gaze slightly and smiled politely and detachedly at him. "I should thank you for this time, Mr. Reed." Wyatt's body stiffened as if her words had pierced him through the weakest part of his heart. His lips became paler in color. He was just an outsider to her. “I… I'm glad you're okay." His eyes were filled with gloom. Even so, he stepped forward and helped her get her cup in a smooth way.
“Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere? Do you want to eat?" Ivy's smile became stiff and froze. "Nothing's wrong with me. Thank you for your consideration." She then turned to face Sebastian. "Could you please pour me a glass of water?" Sebastian turned around and went to get her a glass of water. He even gave a smug look to Wyatt as he handed it to Ivy. "Wait a sec," Wyatt squeezed Ivy's wrist as she was about to take the glass from Sebastian. He stepped to the side, took out a straw he'd been preparing on the side table, and inserted it into the glass. "By doing so, your wound will not split open." Wyatt smiled softly and handed Ivy the water. “Drink it.” Exasperatedly, Sebastian, who was sitting on the side, rolled his eyes. 'What's the big deal about a bloody straw?' Ivy thought it was strange, but she didn't want to make a scene. She felt so much better after drinking the glass of water. The water she drank on the island was filtered from seawater. It wasn't very pure, and it tasted salty. She inhaled deeply to savor the sweet mineral water she had been missing. Wyatt had already taken the empty cup from her grasp before she could hand it over to someone. "The doctor has arrived." Outside, there was a flurry of footsteps, indicating that there were more people. “Sis! We came to see you because we heard you're awake..." "Are you feeling better, sis?" "You're so brave, Sis! Nobody will believe you escaped the pirates and even dared to shoot them back! You're the first!" "Please don't disturb her sleep. Let's go." A large group of men had gathered at the cabin door. They were all quite tall. Even though they were laughing and having a good time, they still had the tough demeanor of a well-trained soldier.
If Ivy was correct, these were the soldiers from the helicopters that landed on the island. 'But why are these people calling me "sis"?'Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.
