The Ceo’s Convict Wife

Chapter 1375

Hanna nodded her head.

Calvin’s gaze fell on Rosalie’s visible baby bump. “Given your current condition, I didn’t expect you to come here tonight.”

“Well, I’m totally fine. I usually stay at home most of the time. I was so bored, so Jonathan took me to the banquet.” Rosalie replied. Then she turned to Hanna and complimented her dress. “Hanna, you look amazing today!”

“Really?” Hanna smiled shyly. “It’s Calvin who dressed me up. Honest speaking, this is my first time attending such a banquet. I know nothing about etiquette.”

Rosalie liked Hanna’s frankness. “You will get used to it in the future.”

Hanna blinked her eyes, feeling confused. She wondered if she would attend similar events in the future with Calvin.

“But I can tell you’re special to Calvin,” Rosalie added.

Hanna smiled. “Well, he’s a good man

“Don’t stand for a long time. Let’s sit down somewhere,” Jonathan said to Rosalie.

Before Rosalie could reply, Calvin spoke, “Yes! Let’s go and sit down!”

The four of them walked to the corner of the banquet ball and sat down. “I got some food for you, but put it somewhere else. I’ll go fetch for you again,” Calvin said to Hanna.

Hanna understood that Calvin had to drop the food to keep Queena from causing her trouble back then.

“Okay. Go ahead,” Hanna answered.

Calvin rose to his feet and was about to go to the buffet table. Jonathan also stood up and said, “I’ll go with you.”

Two men left, leaving two women looking at each other.

Hanna couldn’t help but size Rosalie up and down. When they met at the mall the last time, she had no idea that Rosalie was the woman that

Calvin loved deeply. But she knew it now and felt utterly different.

Although Rosalie didn’t catch people’s eyes at first glance, she was sedate and elegant. The more people gazed at her, the more at ease they became. It turned out that Calvin loved such a type of woman.

“What happened? Why are you looking at me like that?” Rosalie asked.

Hanna came back to her senses and scratched her head awkwardly. “Well, you look stunning!” This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“Really? My face started to swell after I got pregnant,” Rosalie chuckled.

Hanna said, “Of course not. You look amazing! The more I look at you, the more beautiful you appear to me. No wonder Calvin likes you.”

Hanna suddenly stopped speaking, and her face assumed an expression of embarrassment. She wasn’t thinking and it just slipped out.

Rosalie didn’t evade the question but asked instead, “Do you know what happened between Calvin and me?” After all, it was not a secret in the upper-class coterie. Some related news could also be found online.

“I only know that Calvin once had a crush on you,” Hanna said honestly.

“Calvin and I met each other in an accident when we were kids. After that, we didn’t see each other again until I was 28 years old. It’s all over now. Now you are his girlfriend. This is the first time that he introduced his girlfriend to me so seriously. Please don’t get us wrong. We are simply friends now,” Rosalie said honestly. She didn’t want Hanna to misunderstand her relationship with Calvin.

“Okay, I see. Everyone has a past. He has him and I have mine. The pas is the past. The present and the future are the most important! I feel lucky to know Calvin, and he’s kind to me. Sometimes I felt like a Cinderella,” Hanna said.

What Hanna said was not a lie. At least, she thought it was true. Cinderella in the fairy tale would always end up marrying Mr. Right. However, nothing would happen between Calvin and her when it was over.

The two of them continued to chat. Hanna talked about her work, while Rosalie talked about her three kids and unborn baby.

With an envious expression on her face, Hanna exclaimed, “You will have four children when this baby is born. It’s so happy to be surrounded by so many kids every day. But you must feel tired to look after them.”

“It’s not really though. After all, babysitters are a great help to me,” Rosalie replied, gently stroking her baby bump. “By the way, I really didn’t expect that I would get pregnant again. It was a surprise.”

“I envy you. I don’t know when I can be a mother,” Hanna sighed. She lost her parents when she was young and had to live with her relatives. Therefore, she had always desired to get married and start a family.

She always desired to have a loving husband and cute kids.

She previously thought Lorin would be her Mr. Right, but he hurt her so much in the end.

“Maybe in the near future, you will have one,” Rosalie comforted her.

“Perhaps soon,” Hanna replied with a smile. But she knew that what she said was a lie.

Meanwhile, Jonathan stared at Calvin and asked, “Is Hanna really your girlfriend?”

“Do you think she’s a fake?” Calvin asked back, feeling ridiculous.

“You know whether it’s true or not,” Jonathan said, not intending to expose his lie.

Calvin stopped what he was doing and looked straight into his eyes. “Hanna is my girlfriend, and I will transfer my feelings for Rosalie to her. Aren’t you happy with it?”

Jonathan’s eyes blazed. “Of course, I’m happy you found a girlfriend. But are you really sure she’s the one?”

“Absolutely,” Calvin replied.

Even though their meeting was by chance at first, he felt she was th woman to be his girlfriend after getting along with her.

When they returned to their seats, Rosalie and Hanna were talking a laughing.

Hanna’s jaw dropped when she watched Jonathan carefully placing the food in front of Rosalie. According to the Internet, Jonathan for a while the most powerful man in Strico, was unpredictable and cold-blooded, but he was so sweet to his woman. It could tell how much he loved his wife.

It turned out that no matter how powerful a man was, he could be gentle when he met his beloved.
