Chapter 496
Chapter 496
As he was leaving, Ronan happened to see the "Recommendation Form" on Petra's desk, with
Cordelia at the very top. Her photo was stunning. Her hair was neatly arranged, her eyes sparkled, and
she had a gorgeous, gentle demeanor that was different from before.
Ronan noticed Petra had given Cordelia an A+ rating. It seemed like a very high rating.
A small smile tugged at the corners of Ronan's mouth, similar to the pride a parent would feel seeing
their child get a perfect score.
"I'm heading out," Ronan told Petra.
"Alright, it's late. You should get some rest. Where are you headed tonight?"
Ronan hesitated for a moment, but then said, "I'm going to my grandfather's house."
Petra didn't say anything more, but she noticed Ronan's pause. It seemed that anything related to
Cordelia was of great concern to him.
Instead of going straight to his grandfather's house, Ronan went to Cordelia's, but no matter how long
he knocked, there was no answer from inside Cordelia's apartment.
"Cordelia," he called out, raising his voice in case she was inside. Still, there was no response. Just as
he was about to call her, a neighbor from across the hall came out.
"Oh, Mr. Ronan, are you looking for Ms. Haselwood?" the neighbor asked with sleepy eyes, probably
just awoken from sleep.
"Yes."
"Ms. Haselwood left in the afternoon to deliver food and hasn't returned."
"She hasn't returned?" Ronan furrowed his brows.
"Right," the neighbor confirmed after a moment of thought. "She hasn't returned." All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
"Thanks for the info," Ronan thanked and left, heading back to his grandfather's house. He had fully
intended to stay at her place that night but was disappointed to find her not at home. Was she hiding
because she guessed he would come over?
......
Samantha ended up not getting the lead role in The Queen. She didn't even get a secondary or tertiary
role, her presence completely absent from the show.
Alana was smart. She had promised Samantha the lead role if she could break up Ronan and Cordelia,
but Alana knew Samantha wasn't lead material. Samantha could play a villain, but not the lead. Alana
knew Samantha couldn't break up Ronan and Cordelia, and she wouldn't risk her career for Samantha.
This time, she was determined to make a blockbuster.
Alana had learned about Harold's situation and stopped paying attention to him once she realized he
was of no use.
The man in the black suit promised Samantha that even though she lost this role, there would be
others. He suggested Samantha take some time off.
Alana had recently returned to the UK to handle some personal affairs.
After wrapping up In Love with My Professor, Samantha didn't immediately return to Millstone. Instead,
she hung around Birchwood College while Sienna stayed at the hotel. Samantha stayed because she
had set her sights on Harold. If she could snag a young stud while filming at Birchwood, wouldn't that
be great?
One day, as Harold was heading to class with his books, he bumped into Samantha on campus.
"Samantha?" Harold, unaware of Samantha's feud with Cordelia, was always polite to Samantha.
"Harold?" Samantha feigned surprise at running into him, her face lighting up.
"What are you doing here?"
"Are you headed to class? Can I join you? I've finished filming and have nothing to do. I'm bored,"
Samantha said.
Harold glanced at the time on his phone. They still had half an hour before class started. "Sure, we
have plenty of time. You're welcome to join me. This class is a large one so the teacher won't notice.
Let me get you a cup of smoothie."
As they passed a smoothie shop, Harold didn't hesitate and bought Samantha a cup.
