The Mafia’s Third Wife: Between The Devil’s Triangle

Arresting Ramos Escobar

Chapter 69 Arresting Ramos Escobar

“You can’t possibly let him go. Not after what he did to a lot of people huh?” Alfonso said.

“And so killing him is the answer or the satisfaction that you want?” The police friend said.

“I don’t care. He deserves to die and right now, no law is needed for someone like him. So just give me a chance to put a bullet through his fucking brain.” Alfonso said.

“Alfonso, the moment you decide to put a bullet through, Ramos head is the moment you become a murderer and then you will rot in jail my friend. Is that what you want?” His police friend asked.

Alfonso didn’t say anything. His eyes were blazing with rage.

“I know that Ramos took what was most precious to you and that was really terrible but killing him right here, makes you like him, Alfonso.” his police friend said.

“What you just said is true.” Alfonso said

“I don’t wish to be anything like him. I was just so pissed….. and I don’t know what to do. I feel like if I don’t do something I’m gonna blow chucks.”

The police officer placed a hand on Alfonso’s shoulder. “I understand your anger.” he said.

“And I understand your desire for revenge. But taking Ramos’s life won’t bring back what you lost.

It’ll only destroy you and turn you to someone who you are not. Is that what you want?” The police officer asked him.

Alfonso shaked his head.

“So don’t do something that you would later regret all because of revenge.”

Alfonso didn’t say anything as he pondered on what his police friend had said.

“You’re right. I don’t want this.” he said.

“I’m glad that you’ve realized that, Alfonso. Let the law do what it can about Ramos Escobar. He had killed a lot of people and so he ain’t coming out easy. And he sure ain’t gonna get bail or a lighter sentence.

“I’m counting on you to do this. And it’s true no one wants to become a murderer. I just don’t know how to forget everything that had happened to her and the horror she faced in here before she died. It’s a lot to take in and forget.

So I just feel stuck and I can’t get out of it.”

His officer friend sat down next to him and spoke in a calm voice.

“You’re not stuck, Alfonso. You just think you’re. So you just have to get yourself outta there man.

You’re just in a very difficult place right now. And I believe you’ll find your way out of it man.”

“Thank you.” Alfonso said.

His police friend placed his hands on his shoulder and smiled and then left with Ramos Escobar in their police van and off they went to the police station.

“So I guess we’ve done all we can no. Let’s just leave this for the trusted police officers to see to it that justice is served.” Alfredo said.

Alfredo walked up to Raven who was sitting down and tired.

“I thought you would also try to kill Ramos like Alfonso wanted to, but you didn’t. why?” He asked her.

“I wanted to kill him as much as Alfonso, but I knew what it felt like to lose those you love and nothing and I mean nothing can bring one satisfaction except putting a bullet through the hole of that mother fucker.

But, as the cop said, that would turn me into a murderer and I’ll be in jail all because I seeked revenge.

I have a better way to seek revenge on Ramos. You just don’t worry about that.” Raven said, as she got up and walked over to where Alfonso was.

Alfredo didn’t understand what she meant by she had other ways of getting her revenge of Ramos. How? And why won’t she tell him?

As they returned to the mansion.

Raven went into her room to freshen up. She had been through a lot for the past how many months and now she was finally free from Ramos. As she allowed the warm water to clean her body, she thought about Alfredo and how he risked everything to come save her even when he knew that it was dangerous.

She smiled.

There was something about him, a spark of bravery and loyalty that had drawn her to him from the start.

She couldn’t deny the connection they shared, the bond they’d formed in the midst of danger and fear.

She knew he felt it too, the way he looked at her, his touch and the concern in his eyes.

She understand too well how she feels about him and how her heart beats when she thinks about him.

She just can’t explain this feeling as she kept thinking about it everyday while she kept captive by Ramos.

She guessed those feelings helped her overcome the pains and helped her endure everyday she was in that hell hole.

She locked the water and wrapped herself in a towel, feeling the soft fabric against her skin.

As she stood there, lost in her own thought, she heard a knock on the door. She quickly wrapped the towel more tightly around her and called out.

“Who is it?”

“It’s me, Alfredo.” He replied.This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

“Just a second.” she said.

She rushed into her room and looked for a clothe to change into. She saw a light pink gown and decided to wear that in other not to put themselves in an uncomfortable position.

“Okay, come in.” she said.

Alfredo opened the door and stepped into the room, closing the door behind him. He looked at her, his eyes filled with worry.

“Are you alright?” he asked.

“Yeah…. I am. Why did you ask?” she asked.

“Well…. uhmm… because of what happened today. You lost your father and it was all Ramos doing.

But I realized that you handled it so well. I thought you were gonna shoot him, but you didn’t, that to me was very wise of you.” he said.

“Well… trust me I wanted to kill him, but as I said, I have my ways of getting what I want and so don’t you worry about me. I am good.” she said.

Alfredo bothered by that statement she made decided to ask her what she meant by that.

“When you said that you have other ways of getting what you want. What do you mean?” he asked.

“It just means what it is.” she said.

Alfredo looked at her, a frown forming on his face.

“Raven, I know you’re a very strong and capable person from the very first day I met you, but I also know that you have a temper and that you’re capable of doing things that you might later regret. I just don’t want to see you get into any trouble.”

Raven sighed.

“Relax… Alfredo. I know you’re worried about me and I’m grateful for that, but I want you to know that I won’t do anything rash or reckless. You have my word on that. I just want Ramos to get what he deserves that’s all.”

“There is something I wanna ask you.” he said.

“Okay….. what is it?” she asked.

Alfredo too a deep breath, trying to find the right words to say.

“I heard some strange things from Mrs. Carlos, something that took me by surprise. So I wanted to confirm it from you.”

“Okay… I’m listening…” she said.

“But wait… where is she anyways?”

“We’ve moved her and her family to a safe place. Don’t you worry.” He said.

“Oh… that’s great. Carlos risked everything to save them even till the last minute.” she said, her face sad.

“Why did Ramos kill Carlos? I mean he needed an information about something so badly and he knew that Carlos knew about it. So why kill him when he knew killing him won’t get what he wants?” Alfredo asked.

“Ramos was an asshole who doesn’t care about anything or anyone. He kills whoever he feels like killing.” she said, anger evident in her eyes.

“He killed him because he believed he would be able to find Carlos family eventually and so he didn’t need Carlos anymore. That’s why he killed him.

He knew that Carlos won’t say anything.”

“Have seen what Ramos is capable off and trust me when I say this that he is no human, but a monster who deserves death.

I watched how he tortured a man right in my presence and when he no longer needed him, shot him dead right in my presence as he did to Carlos.

Then my father…… ” she said, tears coming gently down her face.

“He…. tortured my father everyday… and then …. he …. he….. killed him.” she said, tears rushing down her face.

Alfredo walked towards where she sat and sat beside her and put his arms around her for a hug.

Raven cried….
