Her Truth
Chapter 70 Her Truth
“He doesn’t deserve to live, Alfredo. That man deserves to die and I’ll make sure of it.”
“Look, Raven, I know you are hurt and no words I say would bring your Uncle back to life, but you and I both know that killing Ramos won’t also bring your Uncle back to life.” he said.
Sniff, Sniff.
“Wait what do you mean… you just said my uncle instead of my father. What do you mean?” she asked him.
“That’s what I wanted to talk to you about. Is that man really your father?” He asked.
“Because, Mrs. Carlos told me everything.”
“Everything?” she asked, her heart beating in her chest.
“You mean…. about my real father?”
“Yes.” he said.
“She told me everything, that Mr. Salvador isn’t your real father and that you’ll tell me the rest of the story. So if Mr. Salvador isn’t your real father then who is?”
Raven was quiet for a while as she thought about what to say to Alfredo. She needed to choose her words wisely in order not to make him doubt her.
“She told me that you had a plan all along, that you intentionally brought me into your uncle situation, knowing that I would help.
So I need to know who is your real father and why did you pull me into all these?”
Raven sighed…
“Yes, what she said is true. I did approach you intentionally.” she said.
“I already knew who you were and I knew about what Ramos did to your brother and how your brother wanted revenge so badly.
I felt if I could use that to my advantage I could get you the Sanchez brother involved in helping me take down Ramos.
“So you used us for your own revenge.” he said.
“Listen, Alfredo, that wasn’t my plan at first. I wanted to attack Ramos mansion and then kill him, but when I found out that he had a lot of supporters from the government supporting him.
I knew that it wouldn’t be that easy to just kill him and walk free. So that was when I saw you and your brother and got information that you were the Sanchez brothers and that was why I approached you that way.” she explained.
“You made us think, you were innocent in all this. A victim just like Alfonso’s wife. You made us feel that you were just an helpless girl who got involved with the wrong people unintentionally.
But everything was intentional?” He said.
“Ramos took everything from me. He killed my parents all because he wanted my father’s money.Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.
Ramos was one of my father’s men before he went rogue and killed my father to gain control of his power.
But my father wasn’t anything like him. My father was good and kind to people and helped them seek justice for anyone who wronged them.
I loved my father and wanted to be like him one day and help seek justice for people who had been hurt and wronged by Ramos.” she explained.
“But Ramos was always the one causing trouble and killing people without my father’s permission.
My father warned him several times to stop but I guess he had other plans and when his plans were in motion, he didn’t hesitate to kill my father, but my mother hid me safe from him and so when he killed my mother, I was there.
I witnessed everything….” she said and then continued.
“I wandered alone with no where to go and no one to turn to as everyone was scared of Ramos and what he was capable of doing.
But Mr. Salvador, took me in like and treated me like his child. He decided to become my uncle and take care of me.
We moved here and started staying here.
It wasn’t easy after I lost my parents. I had never struggled in my life but I had to do that to make ends meet.
My uncle became sick and so I had to do multiple jobs to pay his bills and all. It was so much for me.
When I first saw you at the hospital, I didn’t plan for any of this to happen. But as I got to know you, as I saw your kindness and genuine concern for me and my uncle, I couldn’t help but be drawn to you.
But I knew that I couldn’t until I made Ramos pay for what he did to my father and mother. And so I told my uncle to loan money from Ramos knowing that he would come to collect his money.”
“Wait… so everything was all a plan. Including the whole you tried to shoot him in the hospital?” he asked.
“Well, not everything. There were times I almost lost it and ruin our plans, but Ramos fell right into my trap and decided that he wanted something else instead of his money back.
He wanted me.”
“So you endangered your uncle’s life all for revenge?” he asked.
“We planned it together. He knew what Ramos was capable of and so he requested I use him as the bait.
He knew that Ramos couldn’t resist a beautiful woman and a bold one at that. So I had to act all bold and confidence to get his attention so that I could get close to him and then get my revenge.
But I needed a back up plan incase my plan doesn’t go as expected.” she said.
“So we were your back up plan huh?” He asked.
“I knew that you liked me and would come to my rescue if I let you in in my situation. But I also knew that I genuinely cared for you, Alfredo.
My feelings for you are real.”
Alfredo looked into Raven’s eyes to search for any sign of lies, but saw that she was sincere.
“I was scared to tell you the truth because I didn’t want you to think less of me.” Raven said.
“I didn’t want you to think I manipulated you.”
“I do feel manipulated.” he said.
“But I also want to believe that there’s more to this plan. I’ve see how you cared for your uncle, how you worked tirelessly to support him.”
Tears came down Ravens face again.
“It’s all true. Everything I did, I did out of love for my uncle and out of genuine feelings for you. I know it’s hard to trust me now, but I had to take a chance, eve if it meant risking everything.”
Alfredo was torn. He had hoped for the truth, yet facing the truth was more painful that not knowing about it.
He reached out and gently held Raven’s hand.
“I want to believe you.” he said softly.
Raven looked at him, her eyes searching his for any sign of forgiveness.
“I’m not asking for your forgiveness right now. I know I have a lot to prove.
But I hope that you’ll give me a chance to show you that my feelings are real, and that I didn’t just play.”
Alfredo nodded slowly.
“I need time to process allof this.” he admitted.
“But I promise, I will listen and give you a chance to explain.”
Raven’s lips curved into a small smile.
“Thank you for at least hearing me out.
I know it’s a lot to take in at the moment and you wish you could just forget everything I said, but it’s not easy for you to pass that.
Because right now you feel I used your feelings you have for me to manipulate you to do what I want and I understand that completely.
But as I said, I had no choice. Ramos, took everything from me and I just couldn’t watch him continue to do that to a lot of people so I felt I needed to stop him once and for all.
If I didn’t, he would continue to feel that he is invincible and no one can stop him.” Raven said.
“I know… Ramos killed Alfonso’s woman because he wanted her and she wasn’t ready to give herself to him.
He did everything he could to get her, but she never for once submitted to him. So out of anger, he decided to kill her and send her remains to her parents.” Alfredo explained.
“Ramos was a monster that has done terrible things that are unforgivable and unforgettable.” Raven said.
“I know that Ramos is a monster and believe me I wanted to kill him when he almost forced you into marrying him.
I was ready to do whatever it takes to make sure he never gets to do that again. That was why we attacked his estate and saved you that day.
But I guessed you knew we were huh.” Alfredo said.
“Well…. I hoped that you would help me. And you did.”
Yeah… I guess I did.” He said.
“But I want to ask you this question that has been on my mind for a while now….”
“What is it?” Raven asked.
“Who is your real father, Raven?
Raven sighed….
“My real father is …….
