Chapter 133

Chapter 133

"I..."

"Don't you have anything to say?" Skylar Holland looked at Coralie Chariott solemnly, "You're really

man's embrace?"

In order to stop Valerie Rae from hurting herself and to prevent the Rae family from threatening the

relationship between him and Coralie with the incident, he tried his best to keep Valerie company.

However, what did Coralie do?

She chose to sleep with another man instead.

"I didn't! What should I say for you to believe me?! I was just drunk that day."

How long had it been since Skylar plastered the word 'cheap' on her?

Coralie was taken aback when she heard him uttering that word.

Skylar was the last person on earth whom she absolutely couldn't stand distrusting her.

"Nothing? What about the photos then? How should I trust you?" Skylar tightened his grip on her jaw, "I

think that I need to stay with Valerie for the time being. Since you can't live without a man, you'd better

get out of here."

Coralie was stunned when she heard his heartless words.

She didn't understand what he meant.

"What do you mean? Skylar? Do you not want me anymore?" As Coralie spoke, tears began to stream

down her cheeks, "Nothing happened between Franklin and me. I swear. You could also ask Franklin

about this."

For some reason, when Skylar used those harsh words to drive her away, Coralie's heart ached so

much that she started gasping for breath.

Coralie asked through her sobs, "Do you hate me now? If you like Valerie, you could just tell me. I am

more than willing to back off, but I don't want our relationship to end because of some

misunderstanding."

She was not afraid of breaking up. She was afraid that Skylar would see her in the wrong light and

condemn her because of a non-existent relationship with another man. She was worried that he would

sentence her to a lifetime of faithless guilt.

Skylar looked at the woman in front of him. Seeing her tears flowing down her cheeks, his heart was

similarly tugged.

All his longing for Coralie had surged up to him at this point. Seeing how uncontrollable her tears were,

he couldn't help but bend over and kiss the droplets across her cheek. Then, he moved to her soft lips

and gently sucked them, swallowing her every breath and gratifying his profound yearning for her.

Coralie also responded to the affection. She tiptoed and put her arms around his neck. She answered

his kiss and his yearning in her own way, amid the tears and sadness.

However, in the middle of this long kiss, Skylar suddenly pushed Coralie away with a disgusted look on

his face, "Get out of here. I've said that you could only be my woman alone. Since you have had a

relationship with another man, don't show up in front of me again."

After that, he turned around and walked into the ward.

Coralie was transfixed in surprise. Skylar had entered the building when she wanted to call out to him

again. The security guard at the door stopped her pursuit.

"How could this be?"

Coralie was angry. She knew that she had done nothing wrong. If it was wrong for her to be jealous of

Valerie, then she didn't know what else she could do anymore.

Coralie stumbled her way home.

She soon returned to 'Golden Town'. She would see traces of Skylar on every spot she landed her

gaze upon, she saw Skylar in them. Coralie felt that it was getting harder to breathe and her heart was

submerged in great pain.

Skylar had been away as he accompanied Valerie day and night, and now she was being

misunderstood by the man himself.

Coralie felt a wave of indignance and injustice.

However, there was nothing she could do. The fact was that Valerie had lost a leg in order to save her.

In the eyes of outsiders, everything that Coralie did would be insignificant compared to Valerie. Even if

she let go of Skylar and handed him over to Valerie, it was expected of her.

......

Coralie hesitated for a long time, but she was still reluctant to move away from 'Golden Town'. After all,

she had spent all the good times with Skylar in this place.

Two months passed in a blink. When she came back from work one day, Coralie saw a truck parked

outside the villa. Several workers were moving things down from the truck.

Coralie was puzzled and she immediately ran over to ask, "What is this? Who authorized this?"

Before she could even finish speaking, she heard a wheelchair approaching from inside. She turned

around and saw Valerie sitting in the wheelchair. Valerie looked at Coralie innocently and said, "Miss

Chariott, I'm sorry. My condition is still unstable, so I can't be separated from Skylar at night. However,

it's not convenient for him to live with me in the hospital, so I moved here."

Coralie stood at the door, stunned.

No matter how foolish she was, she could still understand what that meant.

However, Valerie was sitting in a wheelchair, so Coralie could not say anything. She could only nod

silently, "Okay, I understand."

Originally, there was still a trace of hope in Coralie's heart. Perhaps, Valerie would leave after a while,

and things would still be amendable between her and Skylar.

However, when Coralie walked inside the villa, she saw that Valerie's stuff was moved to the second

floor by the workers. Several servants were arranging them and settling them in the master bedroom.

"What does this mean?"

When Coralie saw that the servant moving things into the master bedroom, her face darkened.

Valerie came over with her wheelchair behind her and said, "Miss Chariott, I'm really sorry. If I'm not in

the same room as Skylar... then... Could you please stay in the guest room for a while?"

"Did... Did Skylar agree to this?"

At this moment, Coralie's heart froze.

Logically speaking, this was one of her obligations. After all, Valerie had become like this because she

tried to save her. However, deep down, Coralie still found it unacceptable. The bed in the room was

supposed to belong to her and Skylar. Now, some other woman would be sleeping on it...

"Didn't Skylar tell you?" Valerie covered her mouth, "I thought he has already told you. Why don't I ask

him to give you a call?"

"That's not necessary."

Coralie felt defeated. Skylar had never called her again after their meeting at the hospital that night. It

seemed as though they had nothing to do with each other anymore.

Even so, Coralie still held on hope that it was Valerie who had restricted Skylar from doing so.

However, now it seemed that it was all her wishful thinking.

When Coralie was about to head over and remove her things from the master bedroom, she realized

that there was nothing left inside.

Valerie stood up from the wheelchair downstairs and limped upstairs with the help of the armrest. She

explained to Coralie, "Miss Chariott, I'm sorry for deciding on my own. The place is small and there isn't

enough space, so I asked the servants to move your things to the guest room first."

Coralie took a look and saw that Valerie was gesturing to the guest room that was furthest away from

the master bedroom.

"You really are thoughtful."

Coralie sneered and went to the guest room. There was a stack of documents on her belongings.

When she picked it up, her face darkened slightly. It was a copy of the contract with her and Skylar's

signatures.

Coralie scanned her eyes over to the deadline written on the contract, then she glanced at her mobile

phone and sneered.

This was probably the biggest coincidence in the world. Tomorrow would be the deadline for the

contract.

The one-year deadline that they had both agreed to, was finally coming to an end.
