Chapter 1250
Chapter 1250
"Three days ago, you told me we were going to see a movie, but you never showed up. Then you claimed there was a gas leak at home. Two days ago, you said we'd go to a nearby restaurant, but you ended up ordering takeout for yourself. And now? Why should I believe you?' Esther questioned Finnegan.
"Hey, I can explain that."
Esther stood with her hands on her hips, her expression impatient. "Explain then. I'm listening."
"I overslept three days ago."
Esther raised an eyebrow. "And then?"
"Two days ago, the restaurant was closed."
"And then?"
"I promise I'll take you there today."
Esther gave him a once-over, making sure he still looked presentable. Only then did she believe him. "Fair enough. Let's go now."
To her surprise, Finnegan was the one who gave her a once-over this time. "Are you sure this is what you'll be wearing?"
Esther glanced at her outfit. She was wearing black flats, a white chiffon maxi dress, and sparkling jewelry. She looked ready for a party. "What's wrong with my clothes?"
Finnegan removed his sunglasses, clearly not impressed. "Your outfit is outdated."
Esther snapped. "What right do you have to say that?"
"No, really. Think about what everyone else will be wearing. Your look is from years back. Is that really okay?"
Finnegan knew it wasn't Esther's fault. After all, she was just a celebrity and not a stylist, so she didn't have much expertise in this area.
"So, what do you think I should wear?"
Rubbing his chin in thought, Finnegan replied, "Let's go. I'll take you somewhere."
Two hours later, they arrived at a styling place. Esther was dazzled by all the sparkly decor. This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
"What is this place?"
Instead of answering, Finnegan went over and hugged a man who came their way.
"Hello, my dear Finn. What brings you here today?" The man looked tough but spoke in a way that was surprisingly charming.
"I need your fashion advice, Gerry.'
Gerry laughed. It was rare to see Finnegan acting like this. "What do you need? I'm here for you."
Finnegan nodded in satisfaction, then gestured to Esther behind him. "Help me style her. We have a big party to go to at Super. She can't show up like this."
Gerry took Esther's hand and looked her over closely, not minding personal space. "You've never told me about having a girlfriend. I was starting to think you only liked men. But I see you have an interesting taste in women, especially ones who dress in such a... unique way."
After a moment, he added, "Wait, no. It's not bad, but it definitely has a countryside feel. So, you're into this type, huh?"
Hearing all this, Esther was on the verge of losing her cool and felt like punching him.
