Chapter 1249
Chapter 1249
Rosalie had to leave her aunt's meal outside her room and went to have dinner with Blake. But she had no appetite. She was worried because her aunt was really sick and there wasn't any medicine that could help her yet.
Blake noticed Rosalie wasn't eating and asked, "What's wrong? Not hungry?"
Rosalie sighed deeply. "It's my aunt. She's getting worse and there's no medicine that helps.
"I heard her coughing a lot in her room," Blake mentioned.
Rosalie absentmindedly swirled her spaghetti with her fork. "Yeah, I heard that too. We've tried many medicines but nothing works."
"Don't worry about that now. Let's leave it to the researchers."
Rosalie looked up, confused. "Do you think they'll find a cure soon?'
"Yes, I believe they will."
"But what if it takes them a long time? I'm really scared for my aunt." Rosalie couldn't stop thinking about what might happen if her aunt got worse.
Blake tried to reassure her, "Try not to worry too much. She's not in immediate danger. We just need to take good care of her."
Rosalie nodded but remained quiet, lost in her thoughts.
Esther was standing near a famous tower, looking impatient with her phone in hand. "When are you going to get here? I've been waiting for two hours. Hurry up, or I'll come and get you,' she threatened.
"I'm on my way," was the reply.
About fifteen minutes later, a man in a black trench coat slowly approached.
As soon as he arrived, Esther punched him lightly. "Do you have any idea how long I've been waiting?" Finnegan just grinned and adjusted his sunglasses. "Sorry about that. I had some stuff to take care of at home. My bad for keeping you waiting."This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
"Are you serious about taking me to Super celebrity party tonight?'
Esther couldn't believe Finnegan could take her to such a high-end place. Super was a big deal, a place for the very rich or famous, and it required significant international recognition. Despite being quite famous herself, she hadn't been invited yet.
"Of course. When have I ever lied to you?' Finnegan asked.
Unexpectedly, Esther started counting on her fingers, looking serious, which made Finnegan nervous for
some reason.
