Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 148

"Oh, the high and mighty princess in our school has been played by a man?"

"Alicia Blanchard, how cheap are you? You can't live without a man, can you? Why do you keep insisting on marrying him? He doesn't even want you! He is just playing with your feelings and yet you are still daydreaming!"

"You are such a misfortune! You even hurt your father just because of a man? B*tch! If I had a daughter like you, I would have strangled her to death! What a vicious person you are! Such a waste that your father treated you like a princess!"

"In order to get into a man's bed, you have even forgone your dignity and self-respect. You are really cheap!"

Many hideous faces flashed in her mind. In an instant, it seemed that Alicia had returned to the moment when she was besieged by the group of vicious people. An endless panic flashed in the bottom of her eyes as she subconsciously muttered.

"I didn't... You are not qualified to criticize me!"

Frederick was enraged himself, thus he didn't notice her abnormal expression. He got even mad after hearing what she said.

"I'm not qualified? Who is qualified then?" Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

Frederick got so mad that his hands were formed into fists. This woman really needed to be taught a lesson!

However, he couldn't really hit her. He had nowhere to vent his anger, therefore he pulled her hand out and slapped her palm twice.

"You are bored, aren't you? If you don't make trouble for me or don't seduce any man, you will be unhappy, right?"

"Does that little vault mean everything to you? Is it more important than anything else?"

"Is that why you are always acting coquettishly towards other guys?"

"With that guts of yours, what else are you willing to do?"

When Frederick thought of how she talked to Carson, he had an impulse to hit her as he felt that she was deliberately provoking him. Although Carson was his friend, he was still a man too! Didn't she know how attractive and seductive she was?

This night, that scene seemed to be imprinted in his mind and it lingered in his head.

Her sweet voice, her innocence, her charm, the aura and pride that she exuded from within... Every time, it would have a violent impact on men!

However, she had not only defamed him but also complimented other men in front of him. Didn't she know that a woman's admiration, worship, tenderness, and pity were the easiest to arouse men, thus capturing a man's heart?

Moreover, she was as beautiful as a flower and yet she even took the initiative to do such a thing. Every sentence that she said made him furious, therefore he slapped her hand. However, although he didn't exert much strength, he kept doing it. As her skin was delicate, she felt the pain right away.

As soon as her hand hurt, Alicia came back to her senses. She felt that he was exerting more and more strength, making her feel curious about what he was about to do.

Once he stopped, her palms were burning from pain and her whole palm had turned red!

She didn't understand it at all. She was working to earn money and it wasn't like she was selling her body. Why must she get scolded every time? It was her fault that she fell in love with him. But, was it her fault that the man that she loved had a problem with her?

At this moment, Frederick was an unreasonable and domineering b*stard in her heart! He was as bad as Jeremy, maybe even worse than him. He cheated on her yet he even didn't allow her to talk to other men.

When Frederick stopped, Alicia's tearful eyes met his. She muttered, "Are you done?"

For a moment, Frederick was shocked by the cold hatred in her eyes!

Only then did Frederick feel that she was going to burst into tears. He glanced at her reddened palm and he was startled. Did he hit her that hard?

In fact, it was more painful for Alicia to be wronged than to be hit!

He looked at her while feeling guilty. He couldn't utter a single word.

"Frederick Clements! So what if I like money? At least money is much more reliable than you! As long as the money enters my pocket, it will be mine. It will not betray me nor stab me from the back when I need it!"

How could a person who spent 8,000 dollars just for a meal, and a person who didn't take hundreds of thousands of dollars seriously, understand the meaning of money?

Money was indeed her lifeblood! At least, for the moment!

She had experienced the days when she was forced to a desperate situation. She had no way out and had no idea what to do next. She had even experienced sleeping under the bridge or beside a

riverbank. She was despised by others and driven away once! Experiencing all those once was enough for her!

He could never understand the despair she went through during those dark days!

Except for herself, who else could she rely on? Him? Even if he wanted to save her, she would refuse it as she couldn’t afford to repay him!

In the past, when the old neighbor of hers willingly offered to lend her money just to grab her hand, she immediately knew that there was no such thing as a free meal in this world.

If she did not give, it would be impossible for her to gain anything!

There wouldn't be pennies falling from the sky. If they really fell, they would only smash people to death!

Therefore, when she had the ability, she would love to save up money and groceries that was enough for more than a month. At least, she would be well prepared!

"I am like a poor chick that can never become a phoenix! Since you hate me so much and always look down on me, just throw me out of here! I won't be an eyesore. Anyway, I am sure you are not short of women, Master Frederick!"

She couldn't help but burst into tears.

"How dare you hit me? Frederick Clements, I despise you! I will never accept this! Let's get a divorce! You live your luxurious life in the future and I'll earn money on my own. Let's not cross paths with each other ever again!"

After shouting in one breath, Alicia turned around and crept upstairs.

Behind her, Frederick was in a daze. What... did she say?

After staying still for a few seconds, Frederick chased after her in quick steps.

Frederick was anxious as he thought that she was going to pack up and leave. When he rushed into the room, he noticed that she was walking to the sofa with a pillow in her arms. For some reason, he heaved a sigh of relief.

"You are not allowed to sleep on the sofa!"

After a pause, the tears that had just been suppressed by Alicia's anger welled up again. "Fine! I won't sleep then!" she thought.

With a wave of her hand, she picked up the pillow again. Then, she threw it directly to the ground. Seeing this, Frederick's eyes went utterly round.

What he meant was to let her sleep on the bed.

Unexpectedly, she didn't even change her clothes as she lay on the ground straight away. She curled up with her back facing him, looking obstinate and pitiful!

In an instant, Frederick was so angry yet speechless.

Did he ask her to sleep on the floor? Was she going to do as what she told Carson?

Seeing that she wasn't intending to leave, Frederick headed into the bathroom.

When he got out, there was a steady breathing sound from the ground. Her body was curled up and she was looking quite pitiful. He turned around to get an ointment for treating burns. As he lifted her palms to apply the ointment, he heard her mumbling.

"Go away, don't touch me..."
