Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)

Chapter 152

Chapter 152

Chris ran up from behind Estelle and said, “Let’s go in!”

In front of the west gate, Jonathan squinted slightly as he scanned everyone before turning and

entering the restaurant.

Thinking back to what Chris had said over the phone earlier, Estelle wondered if she should thank

Jonathan. But she was afraid that he might not be friendly even if she did.

As Chris approached, Estelle nodded and said, “Let’s go!”

Chris had booked a private room in advance, and as the three of them entered, the waiter came in to

take their orders.

Upstairs in a private room, Jonathan stood by the window, and Charlie walked over with a grin. “That

guy who was with the girl earlier, is he her classmate or boyfriend?”

He had followed Jonathan’s gaze and had seen Emily first, then Estelle, looking quite surprised that the

two of them would be friends. As the guy approached, it was evident that Jonathan’s face darkened

visibly. He briefly glanced at the individual before resuming his seat at the table.

Their mutual friends, well aware of Jonathan’s preferences, had already ordered his preferred drink.

Upon his arrival, they promptly inquired about his beverage choice for the day.

Before Jonathan could respond, Charlie interjected with a mischievous tone, “Feeling jealous, huh?”

Jonathan stared at him coldly, “Do you want to die?”

Charlie was overjoyed, “Your sulky face since you entered is too easily misunderstood, you know?”

Ignoring him, Jonathan lit a cigarette.

Charlie leaned in and chuckled, “Weren’t you just playing around with her? Why did you take it

seriously?”

Jonathan took a drag from his cigarette, sounding casual, “Who said I took it seriously?”

“What’s the point of getting angry then?” Charlie asked.

Jonathan shot a glance at him, sneering, “Is it okay if I haven’t played enough with her?”

Charlie raised his eyebrows, “If you haven’t played enough, why not just coax her a bit more? What’s

the use of being angry? If you keep moping like this, she’ll find a new boyfriend soon!”

Annoyed, Jonathan didn’t say anything.

On Estelle’s side, the food was being served slowly. The three of them chatted happily together. Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

Chris and Emily, in particular, hit it off immediately, discovering many common topics and talking

enthusiastically.

With an adorable appearance and a propensity to laugh, Emily easily made others feel close to him.

Estelle didn’t join in the conversation, focusing only on enjoying the food.

As the waiter served two dishes, he said to Chris, “The French blue lobster you ordered needs your

personal inspection before our chef can cook it for you. Please follow me.”

Chris was puzzled, as in the past, the waitstaff brought dishes that needed the customers‘ inspection to

the private room. He didn’t say anything, though, and simply told Estelle and Emily before getting up

and following the waiter.

After inspecting the lobster in the front hall of the kitchen, Chris was led back by the waiter.

As they made their way through the hotel lobby, Chris caught sight of a man seated on a sofa in the

lounge area. Excitedly, he instructed the waiter to proceed without him and headed straight toward the

lounge.

“Mr. Lamont?” Chris greeted as he approached.

Jonathan, engrossed in his phone, looked up upon hearing the voice. His face brightened into an

elegant smile. “Chris? Please, have a seat!” he welcomed warmly.

“Is it really you?” Chris was delighted as he sat on the sofa across from him, “I told Estelle that I was

inviting you to dinner, but she said you were busy. I never expected to bump into you here. What a

coincidence!”
